For the past two seasons a Championship side has been promoted. Widnes were well adrift after the 23 rounds so they were always in great danger.

On a purely selfish basis I hope Widnes are gone mentally, as I think we should (!) be able to beat Tornoto and Halifax. If they're shot we should be able to beat Widnes as well and the MPG could be between two Championship sides.

Widnes haven’t won a game since March, I think they will struggle against all Championship clubs except Halifax. I will be very surprised if Widnes are in Super League 2019, unless we go to 14 teams.
