Some fair points above, but Mac spelled out his decisions last week. Better the fringe players get some guaranteed game time than waiting for injuries that would get them first team action. We need some game time with the best players available to take on a Castleford side that are the best team in the competition at the moment. Looks like we've come through unscathed. All in all, looking as good as it could.
Once we picked mainly first choice players we should have spent as much time as possible trying to run through moves - e.g. try to get Hall/Briscoe into positions to score at the expense of simple gaps for someone near the PTB to get on the teamsheet. Otherwise you might as well pick youngsters and give them the experience.
