Those league placings although mediocre were adequate to launch a challenge from once the serious stuff came around. Last year's changed format saw Leeds adapt to remain one of only two sides to compete in every SL Play-Off series. The question this year is either good enough to maintain that record?

Leeds' could be faced with an even bigger fight under this new structure, one the other remaining permanent members appear comfortable with. Fourteen rounds to go but as Leeds are in their supposed easier phase fixture wise where is any win likely to come from at present.

I don't think this is the scenario the RFL saw happening, Mr Hetherington will need to push for some changes.
