Alan who is I believe a Leigh has hit the nail on the head, Brierley just isn't a SL halfback, he doesn't play at the line & shoots out in defence causing his edge players massive problems.

In the middle's he was hugely found out as Ridyard was one of a string of Leigh players needing ops & he couldn't step upto the plate.

He is always surrounded by drama and it appears he has proved what most Leigh fans were suspecting which was he & his agent are leaking his own info to extra money.

He has ultimately made himself look very stupid & selfish with his lies and clubs will now need to way up the drama that goes with him.

Don't get me wrong about Ryan - I think he deserves a crack at SL, from his achievements to date, in the Championship. I just don't think it will work for him at half back. That said, he has listened, learned and progressed a lot at Leigh, and Leeds do have an excellent record of developing young players - albeit maybe younger than Ryan is now.

As for the current goings on, I'm surprised that/if Ryan is 'behaving badly'. I always found him a great young man, who would often go the extra mile for supporters, kids and disadvantaged people, often at his own expense. It could be that his agent is pulling the strings, or that Ryan is believing his own publicity. One thing's for sure - he's been publicly linked with over half the teams in SL, these past two years, and seems to get even more publicity than the top SL stars!

Let me put you all out of your misery. Everything with Ryan and Leeds was agreed last week. That i know for a fact. The outcome however, contract signings, loan deals etc i do not now.

his current style of plays seems to be a mirror of how McGuire was when he started in the first team. we now appear to be lost on the field without him so maybe Ryan can develop into a playmaker like McGuire has?

The appearance on tv by Brierley was stage managed, that's fact.

There's a lot gone on in this saga and IF it all comes to light will not enhance many peoples reputations.

I would be pretty disappointed if GH has gone all secret and under cover for so long over a unproven player playing in the Championship. A lot been said, and a lot of 'in the knows' spouting all sorts you don't know what to believe, so we will see.All will come to light soon i suppose.

It is all very amusing how this is getting played out.
Now GH`s name has been brought into it as some underhand deviant who has been behind it all .
Frostie has maintained all along Brierley had a deal done and dusted and knowing some of the scoops Frostie has had in the past I have no reason to think he has been lying.
Not sure why Brierley would make this up as he would soon be found out in what he was saying was tosh. FWIW I think he will be a useful addition to our squad but worry we will have too many lightweights should we persist with Burrow, Lilley and possibly Brierley.
Who we have at 6,7,9 and 14 when all are fit will be interesting considering Falloon will take the 9 presumably.

If he's signed for us for 2017, when his Leigh contract ends, why would Hetherington be trying to get him to leave and cause all this fuss? Just wait til his contract ends.
