| Sheens would want to restructure the club from top to bottom, no way will Hetherington allow that, either financially or in terms of personnel.

Gotcha seems to know some of the staff at Leeds better than I do, hence may have more recent info, but I read an interview in which KS stated he was more interested in the administrative/business side of the game.
Maybe he's fat enough and slow enough to be the new Nigel Wood?

| Furner is a good shout. What quality coach out there would fancy the re build though as once the exodus of the old guard happens there reputation could be under serious scrutiny.A bit like Man u when Fergie left, only one way to go it aint up.

| Furner was dire at the Raiders. Sheens won the comp with the Tigers but let the team slide into mediocrity whilst at the same time allowing player-power (and cliques) develop - exactly what you'd want to avoid at Leeds.
Oddly I think BM could be the right coach going forward. He's shown he's a strong character, which is what's needed if/when older players need to be pushed rather than wait for them to realise they're past it.
Having said that, a lot depends on GH and BM having some kind of succession plan for key players, which we haven't really seen any great signs of as yet.

His record at leeds is good. I do think we need a new approach to games and to the season as a whole. I think he at least needs s number 2

| Quote thebloodbath="thebloodbath"What's the average tenure for a Super League coach? 2-3 years?
It's traditionally a short space of time for a reason.

And what is that reason?

| I have no complaints whatsoever with what the incumbent players or coach have offered, and I have no problem with them having another go. But, in an ideal world, I (for the first time in several years) feel like the set up looks in need of a bit of refreshing. Meaning either a new option at half, or a new set of ideas from a new coach. Not both. Neither of which reflects any real fault of the people in those positions, just that things seem a bit stale.
In either case, it would depend on what's available to come in. A breath of fresh air is good. Replacing people who have delivered unprecedented success with any old dross is not good.
I am not convinced there is going to be the right quality available at the moment.

Agree with this. Personally I would like to see a minimum of a decent assistant coach brought in, with some fresh ideas,

| Bearing in mid some of the big games we continue to win under McDermott's leadership, it's clear he's tactically astute and can come up with a gameplan when needed. The players also clearly respect him. The most sensible of the suggestions i've seen on here is that a good assistant coach might be needed. Coach being the operative word.
