It was one of the hymns at my Great Aunt's funeral, mainly because she loved the Challenge Cup and always reminisced about seeing Hunslet at Wembley in 1963(? maybe 64). She wasn't without fault, (she was a Hunslet fan for a start) but I loved her to bits and that hymn always brings a tear to the eye.

No idea who is singing it this time .
Hopefully it won't be an opera or pop singer . Definitely hoping it won't be a Carribean steel drum/reggae or a rock band .

It would be great if just for once they had a few fans ( that could hold a tune ) from both the qualifying teams sing it karaoke style .

Ditch all the fancy-dan warbling , opera-style squealing etc . Get somebody , or a group of people, to lead the crowd in a style that we can understand and is nearer to the level of the voices in audience .
