Also add in the fact the club have had little time to draft in a lot more coaches for this one. They won't have been able to fulfill the requirements with local coaches so you'll have coaches coming down from all over the place which adds costs to the prices.

I seem to recall a few years ago coaches coming down from Cumbria and Scotland to cover the work.


This leads me onto something else though, does anyone else think its ridiculous that there's only two week between semi and final. Its not an issue for me but i know a few people who are struggling to afford it. Add to that there is no cheap train tickets available and hotel prices are now much higher.

Yes, particularly when there was 9 weeks (I believe) between the 1/4 finals & the semis.
Ludicrous.
Then, hopefully, the fans will be expected to buy tickets for the play-off series & the Grand Final - even those with season tickets.
The RFL should work with the BBC to move the cup back to earlier in the season.

I think your totally right on the first point. It's supply and demand. The demand for coaches will be much greater for a final than for a normal week. Put into that the fact that many coach companies will already have many bookings from neutrals, etc.

However, surely the main reason for the difference will also be Parking. It will be zero at London, but won't be at Wembley.

Two weeks between semi and final is just typical of the RFL. Wouldn't expect anything different.
