Quote: ploinerrhino "Great respect for Danny , and have stuck up for him in the past but what he Ward and Briscoe are offering at the moment is virtually nothing , Ward is not big enough to play in yhe forwards or fast or skillful enough for the backs ,and Briscoe just looks a waste of money that would be better spent elsewhere. We have two class centres and a class winger but never create anything for them . Peacock has to do nearly all the taking of the ball up and god knows how many tackles he made tonight . The coach can only live for so long on past glories and at times of late has been completley out coached . We all know that the big games are still to come , we all know we have big players to come back but for weeks now we have been somewhere between ordinary and terrible. Maybe everything will turn ouy ok , no doubting with Hardaker , Sinfield and Burrow playing things change dramatically , but we have no moves or are we saving them all up for the big matches . Not trying to over react just pointing out things thay are there for all to see'"
I find your post quite ironic! You are bitching at the coach for and I quote "living on past glories" but then you contradict yourslef by saying we will be a better team when our other 'past glory men' come back from injury
Whilst I agree someone needs to light a firework up the teams jacksy to get them going again, I don't agree with knee jerk reactions and team over haul enmass - Salford being a perfect example of how money doesn't buy success!
I view these last few games as 'our turn' for the customary season rut that all teams come up against, whether it's at the start, middle or end of the season. It was going to happen eventually! We was only 6 rounds into the season and unbeaten and I remember people getting away themselves then in the opposite direction of "can we go all season undefeated?"
I bet there are a few other teams in Super League that wouldn't mind a poor squad like we have got and still sit in second place on the league ladder
