Quote: Eastbourne Warrior "I just watched it back. Tuson came in at waist height with the shoulder and then wrapped the legs up. Delaney was slow to get up but he was already struggling from the hit he put in on Hansen about 30 seconds before. As for targeting an injury you can't expect him to run round to the other side as his left leg had strapping on it.
I know it was highlighted when Maguire was coaching Wigan, Lima was a bad one for it, this results in some watching Wigan more closely than others. ALL teams use the so called 'tactic'. It's called tackling. 2 take the upper body and one wraps the legs up to stop any further momentum. As long as the 3rd man in doesn't take the knees, particularly from the back or side and ensures contact is with the upper thigh or waist there isn't a problem. If impact is at knee height then players should be banned.'"
Seems a fair post, I do agree that Wigan tend to be watched more closely with maguire's influence. There is quite a fine line between a reasonable tackle and a dangerous one on this and Lima as you say was a bad one for it.
