| Having a neutral are would make no difference, I feel. Idiots are idiots all year round, not just when they've had a sip of Southern ale. In the neutral end, you'd still get rival fans sitting together and idiots would still create, albeit fewer as I feel that neutrals are there for the Rugby rather then a fight.
Ban all drinking on coaches for a start. I imagined many from Leeds/Warrington were ripping cans open at 7/8am on Saturday and boozed all day and probably till they were arrested or passed out.
Do what they do at Old Trafford and ban drinking in view of the pitch too, that stops the chucking of beer and stops people from boozing non-stop as it means they'll have to get up, get there beer then drink it out of sight of the pitch. I drink but a pint wouldn't get me out of my seat at the Cup Final.

| We arrived at around 11:00, had a stroll around Wembley way before heading to the pre-game party outside the premier inn and the only thing slightly antisocial we saw were two chavs stumbling about with Fosters boxes on their heads (we're did say later we wondered whether they'd got arrested or a crack off someone lol) so it seems we missed it all luckily
We always make a point of mixing with and chatting to fans of other clubs (what Rugby League is all about) and everyone we spoke to was a credit to the game so lets not judge the majority, the fact is in a crowd of 79 or so thousand you are gonna get a few idiots

| Got on really well with some Wire fans on the tube. Credit to their team. Some awful behaviour from Chavs with all colours of shirt on that I saw. Definitely a societal problem. Start by no drinking in the viewing arena. Then go from there.

| Quote: mikej ""The term 'designated sporting event' in the legislation is a loose one."
if you read it, its pretty much straight forward....football, football and more football
PART I
1. Association football matches in which one or both of the participating teams represents a club which is for the time being a member (whether a full or associate member) of the Football League, the Football Association Premier League, the Football Conference National Division, the Scottish Football League or Welsh Premier League, or represents a country or territory.
2. Association football matches in competition for the Football Association Cup (other than in a preliminary or qualifying round).
Article 2(3)
PART 2
Association football matches at a sports ground outside England and Wales in which one or both of the participating teams represents a club which is for the time being a member (whether a full or associate member) of the Football League, the Football Association Premier League, the Football Conference National division, the Scottish Football League or Welsh Premier League, or represents the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales.'"
Can't be any clearer than that.

| The thing is we dont really hear about this in the weekly rounds. Wembley finals are massive so naturally the scumbags and dregs of society suddenly pop up grab a ticket and claim to be fans. they've never watched RL in their life most probably. They just want to turn up and assume rugby has the same rivalry as football.
I love going to any town and having banter with the fans, I go near enough every game home and away. Not all your fans though. was having a great time with some of your lot on Wembley way. The future isn't all bleak. We just have to put up with the non descripts that come with finals.
(sorry I'm dragging this thread up again, not been on here since the final and felt like putting my opinion in )

| Leigh v Fax 2011 NRC final at Blackpool, how RL should be.
Pubs packed from 10am, all mixed. Great banter, great atmosphere, great session enjoyed by all together.
Post match, Fax lost it with the last play, Fax fans walked around the ground to meet the Leigh fans exiting after celebrating the win to .......................................................... shake hands and congratulate us.
The RL spirit is alive and well, good to see the positive post about Leigh fans in Trafalgar Square and hope you enjoyed your QF win at our place as well.
Scrotes will always be scrotes, RL fans should self police these minority in the old fashioned way.
