Watford has 3 stations, Watford Junction and Watford High Street are on the Overground line (orange on the tube map) and will brng you in to Wembley Central station which is in the town, a little further away from the stadium but better for pubs etc. Watford underground station is on the Metropolitan line and will bring you into Wembley Park station which is the big tube station at the end of Wembley way.

If you're after culture on arrival and you haven't been in there before, I maintain that the National Treasures Gallery at the British Library is the best free exhibition in town, and is right next to the station.
