IIRC the RFL added a clause, that basically said that clubs need to have got to the final of one of the comps to apply, unless the RFL like you, in which case they can make an exception

We'll that's only one criteria I chose to mention there are the other as well. Im pretty sure by the criteria widnes and fax can apply. Although I think widnes are nailed on for 2012.
And to reply to tvoc, I'm can't say iv heard that, but wouldn't be surprised with anything the Rfl do.

Wrong - quite the opposite really. The RFL would love to have another French club in the SL - why do you think they were invited to join the Championship?

The South of France is a perfect location to expand the SL into - it has a ready made supporter base and would be exactly the kind of thing the RFL would be likely to do.
