| I have it on good authority that Kevin Sinfield is a major target of the Toulouse club. We are hoping to sign Kevin for the 2012 super league season on the condition we get a super league licence. Kevin is thought to be keen to moving to the South of France as the lifestyle is very appealing to him, and as he will be 32 in 2012 he would be able to finish his career down there, earning a nice packet for someone ending their career. I for one am very hopeful we can pull it off.  |

Cant apply for a 2012 franchise as don't meet the criteria for a Championship club to apply.
One of the points being . Club must have either won the GF or northern rail. Or got to the final.

We'll see, were not even entered into the northern rail cup so hardly a level playing field |

Haven't the RFL reserved the right to invite clubs to apply for a franchise even if they haven't met the 'on-field' qualifying criteria laid down?
(That's what I were told earlier in the season when I asked the same question on here.)

We've already got 1 french team so you haven't got a chance really. There are more suitable teams that Toulose who would want to be in Super League.

IIRC the RFL added a clause, that basically said that clubs need to have got to the final of one of the comps to apply, unless the RFL like you, in which case they can make an exception  |

We'll that's only one criteria I chose to mention there are the other as well. Im pretty sure by the criteria widnes and fax can apply. Although I think widnes are nailed on for 2012.
And to reply to tvoc, I'm can't say iv heard that, but wouldn't be surprised with anything the Rfl do.
I'm just going off the criteria ie win or reach final, average. Crowd of 2500 for 2010 ect. |

Wrong - quite the opposite really. The RFL would love to have another French club in the SL - why do you think they were invited to join the Championship?
The South of France is a perfect location to expand the SL into - it has a ready made supporter base and would be exactly the kind of thing the RFL would be likely to do. |
