That seems to be the impression you lot are giving. You seem to think you 'smashed' Saints on Friday in 2nd gear and could never possibly lose.
I've been in that position where you feel your team is invincible before, but I was wondering how supremely confident you all are really, when there aren't trolling points to be gained.
Are you all 110% confident of SL glory again this year?'"
What a ridiculous post from you. Though it is not suprising, it is the norm from you.
At the end of last season you basically moaned that leeds players were indestructable robots who never got injured (cue injury to brent webb) and that saints had to constantly cope with a weakened team.
As for your comments in this post. It's all in your head, I havent seen anyone claim we won in 2nd gear and that we are nailed on for the super league title. You'll see people who are confident because we've come out of our early season malaise and you'll see people who fancy our chances against saints because events from recent seasons, but all that is perfectly reasonable.
I think you like to overplay things and you see alot of this from saints fans. Because saints fans seem to love the underdog tag and as soon as theres a slight sniff that the other team is on top they go on about things like it will be the shock of the century if they can pull it off.
''Without an intervention from out of this world, god or terrorism?''
In terms of this season too many people are taking things for granted. Firstly, leeds have to beat a salford team who beat them at headingly to claim top spot.
Then, theres a much much tougher playoff system to get through.
Not only are there many teams capable of getting to old trafford both top teams need to win 2, not 1 game, to make it to the grand final, and unlike previous seasons if they lose the first game they don't get a home tie in the next game.
Much, much tougher.
If there was to be another leeds saints grand final, it would be extremly close and the bookies will have things pretty even (sorry to dissapoint you but you won't be huge underdogs and no it won't be the upset of the millenium if you win).
In fact we could even experience the closest grand final since 2002 with a drop goal deciding the outcome.
