| 7 weeks into the season and we are sitting pretty where nobody probably expected us to be. Looking at how the table lines up at the moment which obviously we know it will not finish this way it loos as if we have played the poorer teams so far apart from Wigan (only team occupying a play off spot) So lets not obviously get carried away but we should still be extremely proud of how the players are playing.
As it stands we are still not at full strength either with the likes of Dixon, Webster again, Wheeldon, Gilmour (doubt will play all season anyway) Gibson and Tansey plus probably more I've forgot to mention. This will be the time our depth will show as this is where it will get tough but to be 6 from 7 without these players is great to see.
So this is where I see the toughness and depth of our team will be challenged. With Batley up next I expect us to win with a weakened team and move on to the next round but after that we have to play the top crop of Superleague teams. The next 5 Superleague games are huge for us and will help us to understand where we will be at the end of the season. Next 5 games:
Saints - Home
Wakey - Away
Warrington - Home
Huddersfield - Away
Leeds - Home
these are 5 games which look real hard and we could struggle to win. What do we expect from these? If we were to win 2 from 5 we would still be 8 wins from 12 and on 16 points which is still pushing towards a play off spot less than half way through the season. But could we win more? We should definitely be looking to beat Wakey then as it stands right now I believe the home games against Saints and Warrington are winnable with tough matches vs Leeds and Huddersfield.
This is where the real tough games begin so can we keep up our form and keep the media talking about us? Lets hope so. If Leeds win tomorrow night by 13 we will go above Saints in the league. Such a great start to the season but can it continue now the tough games begin. Lets hope so.

| Wakey and Warrington I would like to think we could win, Huddersfield next in that list, then Leeds, then Saints. If we have the right mindset I don't see why we can't challenge them, though.

| Really?
From our next 5 I like the look of Wakey first and then Wire, Saints, Leeds and then Hudds. Just think Huddersfield away is a tough ask but Saints have a few players out and a tough game next week where as we will rest a few. I can see us either pushing Saints very very close or stealing a win.

| I thought the real test started last night against London for you lot.
Facing a team without a win away from home who let's face it will probably pick up a win at some point. A real test of character in front of the Sky cameras after your first loss of the season. It could of gone very wrong for you.
You lot should be very proud of them efforts.
For me however would like you to win all them next games except against the Giants obviously and (don't shoot me) against Wakefield because I want them to be safer from the drop.

| I agree that the upcoming games will be a real test and with the likes of Saints, Leeds, Huddersfield and Warrington in there, we are facing the best in the competition over the next few week. Wakey are also performing very well and were very unlucky not to beat Saints, so that trip will be very tough as well.
I'm not sure if we haven't faced real tests already however and there's something very different about this team to previous Cas teams I've watched. I've got bored of mentioning that we need competition for places over the years and this year we have that across the pitch. That alone gets players playing at their very best week in week out.
The rugby we are playing is fast and incisive and the defence has been incredible for most of the year so far. I only see the defence getting tighter as well.
We would never have gone to London and won 6-54 last year, or in previous years and to see that level of professionalism is fantastic. Big wins are what the likes of Leeds, Saints, Wigan, Warrington etc. do, where as previously we would have scraped through that game doing just enough.
The upcoming fixtures will be tough and whilst we probably won't win them all, I'd put us on a fairly level playing field with those big sides this year. I feel that all of the games will be tight and that we will give all of those sides a very good game. Win or lose, I'm sure we're in for some great games over the next few weeks
COYF!!!

If you live in a country where you can get arrested for fishing without a licence, yet you can't get arrested for entering that country illegally, then you know that the country you live in is run by idiots!

| This season though, we might lose some of the next few gmes but unlike previous years, I can't see anyone giving us a good stuffing. I can take losing a few games so long as the effort is there, which this year, it most certainly is. I thought our defence was fantastic again last night, even though we were playing a poor side.

| In years gone by plenty of fans would be proposing the resting of players for some of those big matches and writing the games off in order to save the players for more winnable games. But this year we should be looking at every one of these games as winnable. OK, we could conceivably lose all 5 but as said above, we should be competitive in every one.
There's no doubt London are a poor side but the professional job we did on them has previously been reserved for the very top sides.
Roll on the rest of the season!

Sorry about this but no it's not. The difference is 17 so if we win by 9, not 8 as I stated. We go above them to top as we gain 9 and they lose 9. Swing of 18
Doubt it will happen though but would be nice haha.

Yep, you're right, I was having a blonde moment, and I'm not even blonde (or female !) Still a 9 point win is more achievable than an 18 point one. You never know in a two horse race !

| We'll see how Saints handle the atmosphere down the Lane with another bumper crowd. I have a funny feeling we will do them by +6
