Probably can't afford to throw money at Raper for the sake of throwing money at him. Him coming over would obviously be only a short term thing. By the sounds of it we're looking for just 1 guy long term.

Of the 10 applications, I can confirm there is Danny Orr, Andy Hay, me, our lass and Kaiser, our Doberman.

William Hills have Kaiser as favourite, but I am not convinced he will take it if offered (prefers licking his own balls).

I have also heard that West End star, John Barrowman has applied.

He has heard that the job needed someone with Cats in their blood...I think he misunderstood the job spec.

It was a nice offer by Stuart Raper to come & do the job at Cas until the end of the season, thats where i have been going wrong over the years, being a builder, Now retired, when ever i offered to do a job it was for nowt.

Some fans seem to think it's just his plane fare, saying it's only about £800, what might be right for us mere mortals, but for us to bring him over it would be at the very minimum business class, at about £4,000 plus a house, plus his wagers, plus expenses, so the club have done the right thing for me, by cracking on to find a permanent coach.

According to the super league website hull FC are not prepared to comment on the rumour that andy hay handed his notice in last week. This would not surprise me if cas went for hay the cheapest pay packet from the 10 blokes wanting the job. However what he may lack in experience, being brough up in cas he may make up for in his passion for the club. Watch his space

If the board were going for the cheep option they would have given the job to Danny Orr, even though he says he isn't ready, when they set Millward on a three year contract, it wasn't the cheep option & it certainly wasn't the cheep option to sack the man & his assistant.

What about Paul Robeson ?Not much experience but would give everything , and a lot of knowledge .
