| If our forwards can play like they did yesterday then the platform will be made for Rangi to show us what we've been missing. We have to keep Tompkins quiet as he is a class player and one who can change a game in a heart beat. Hope IM puts Dixon opposite Pat Richards as he (Richards) would have a field day jumping for the high ball against "The Beast". Got a feeling in my tummy, as with the Leeds game, that we could take something from this match. Hope I am right.

Saw him on crutches after the game - doesn't look good.

| Not great news obviously but not a major position to be missing. We have cover there. not to amazing standards but to good standards. Owen to wing? Thompson to centre with emmitt back in to forwards. We will cope but it is gutting.

Carney to centre?
Gilmour to centre?
Thompson to centre?
When did we become so spoiled for choice after having players like Snitch, Ferres and Mitchell in the centres in 2012?? I'd go with Gilmour to centre and start with Holmes or Thompson in the back row.
Tansey
Owen
Gilmour
Webster
Carney
Chase
Ellis
Mason
Clark
Huby
Holmes
Hauraki
Millington
Massey
Emmitt
Thompson
Fleming

Will be gutted if Shenny is out - I think much of our stronger backbone this year is down to stronger centres and back-rowers defending out wide.
I'll get blown to bits with this, but rather than move things around, I'd play Owen in the centre. He has had a torrid 12-months agreed - but wing and full-back not right for him at the moment, in the past he was always strong in the centre, if it worked it would also allieviate what could be a major disruption any time Webster or Shenton are unfit.
Thompson at loose-forward for me - massively undervalued and would be like our own Liam Farrell in this position.

I don't think putting Owen against Richards would be very good, he would have a field day and wouldn't even have to jump for the ball. Dixon has to play opposite Richards as he is the best we have at contesting the high ball and can keep him quiet.

| Shenton was outstanding on Sunday, he's making an excellent captain and leads the team very well. If the rest of the team have come out of Sunday's game in good shape, that's great news, especially considering they were subjected to a few unpunished head shots and shoulder charges.
It should be an interesting game on Sunday with Chase back in the frame but I'm not sure if Wigan will be too strong for us though. Fingers crossed though and here's hoping for a strong performance.

| i personally wouldnt be too concerned about swapping things around to counteract Richards as he hasnt scored any this season from kicks
we seem to be attacking more fluently to the Charnley wing
Forwards will be interesting with Mossop and Prescott both out for a while, so will be going with a pretty young / small pack, but they have stood up well against Wire and Hudds, and think the next few weeks will be a good test for them against you, Cats, Leeds
looking forward to a good game on sunday and bringing my daughter for 1st time to Wheldon Rd

I think this will be a real tight affair. Wigan are likely to be without Mossop, Prescott, Lauaki, Hansen, Gelling, Goulding, possibly Taylor and Green limped off too. ( No conf on the last 2) We will be very week in the front row and we all know setting that platform is paramount for the backs. It seems your boys did very well against a massive Catalan pack last week so should be more than up to getting on top of a young, inexperienced Wigan pack. We could be there for the taking this week.
