Any thoughts people??? Gilmour, Huby.....

Gilmour I recon.

Would like to see Huby given it. He has been with the club for the whole of his career and stayed loyal through the relegations we suffered. He always gives 100% and to me he epitomises everything that is good about the club. Plus he is a Cas lad. I don't think I would give it to a new signing until I saw how they played for the club.

I don't think Huby will be captain as he his only for 20 minutes at a time, so we would need a vice captain for every time he went off the field. I would love to see him captain I just dont think it would happen

Here is the problem..who is on the pitch for 80 minutes who currently earns the captaincy and has been at the club a few years?

Owen's not mature enough, Chase's form and behaviour off the field in the last 5 months probably rules him out, and the likes of Dixon may not be a regular in the starting line up.

I would give a shared captaincy between Huby & Emmitt...providing one or the other is on the pitch at any given time.

Shenton.

Shenton is a good shout, pity Chase kinda spoiled it.

I think we will be talking 'leadership group' again. Huby and Happy will deffo be in that group.

I rate Dixon, he will be a fixture and rightly so.

Make Huby captain and don't take him off. Huby has the potential to be a real top quality prop forward one of the things he hasn't yet shown (not necessarily his fault) that many top props do is the ability to play 65 - 80 minutes in a game without dropping off.

Give Chase the captaincy and see if the extra responsibility he will have to his team mates helps him stay focused.

Too many people gave him stick last year for his club suspension without knowing what actually happened, which is unfair.

Huby is a good shout for me, although we would need a vice captain for when he isn't on the field. He epitomises what our club is about in every game he plays.

Chase would be good, if he cfould get his off field issues sorted. Providing he is still here of course.

Other than that the only person I could think to give it to would be Emmitt, but again you have the same issues as Huby
