"Should Hull go through with the signing of Rangi Chase then they could well switch training to Pontefract Park – or even hire a coach to take their staff to Hull FC !
At the last count their employee’s in West Yorkshire were; Assistant Coach Andy Hay and Captain Andy Lynch (Kippax); Joe Westerman, Joe Arundel, Ryan McGoldrick, Ben Crooks (Castleford), Richard Whiting and Tom and Jack Briscoe (Featherstone) and Liam Watts (Normanton)."

If you look back to Hull's greatest ever team in the early eighties, it was based on West Riding players, especially Cas-Wakey area. Only leading player from Hull itself really was Lee Crooks. And of course there was a smattering of outstanding players from New Zealand...
