| Earlier in the year RW gave his forecast that Cas needed to average 8500 for each home game in order to break even for this year. According to my figures we've had 7 games at home now and have a rolling average of 7566. Hence as good as 1000 per game below the break even average that was forecast.
Ok, it's hard to say how many season tickets haven't been used at any one of these games yet obviously already pre paid, however let's presume that RW had accounted for this in his forecast together with other spend from fans in attendance at the game. On the turnstyles alone with a 50:50 adult to kids split that puts us about £100K behind the break even position already.
Considering that we've already played some of the better attended games at home so far St's, Hull KR, Hull FC, Leeds, Bradford, Wigan (forget about Widnes), I can only see the stats getting worse!! I Certain can't see the likes of Salford, London, Catalan or Huddersfield improving the situation. Which only leaves Wakefield & Warrington.
Added to which there is of course recent form.....can anyone else smell the coffee?..... and a £400K or £500K loss for this season alone coming our way....again?

| Join the club our attendances are just as bad think the simple fact is people can't afford to go anymore and even tho we love our teams there is more important things to spend our money on. Sad but true.

| Don't think it will be £400k.
Not sure but think season tickets are counted in overall attendance?

I know that attendances vary from one year to the next however these are the attendances from last year...Huddersfield 5992, Catalan 4889, Salford 6741, Wakey 9020, London 7072, Warrington 5947 giving an average of 6610........cutting to the chase if we repeat these figures again with a 50:50 adults and kids split it would be an additional £170,000 loss (on gates alone), plus the £100K already.....so yes Id think a £300K to £350K loss for the year is not an unreasonable expection!!

| Today's game will have home fans thinking the season is just about over, so i can't see any up lift in crowd numbers.

| The only way the club can claw back the lost support will be a kids for a quid type deal (accompanied with an adult)or something like that.
I'm a season ticket holder and i've found it hard work going to watch the rubbish served up this year, and with the Euro Championships, Olympics and the usual Summer Sunday servings of F1,Wimbledon etc it will be even harder to drag myself down.
The club is pretty clueless in promoting themselves

| Don't know about Wire but London was due to a special offer the club put on for ST holders to bring a friend for free.

Yes...I remember that, it was nothing to do with traveling support from London. The problem was, and as is, when playing an expansion team, the atmosphere was absolutely flat as a fart! Most of the crowd were huddled round in bunches talking and not bothering with watching the game. Hence for those who came on a freebee to experience the game day atmosphere they went home thinking not to bother in future because there weren't missing much!
The bring a friend promotion was worth a try, but I don't think it worked all that well.

| I personally think we have done well to get such high attendances with the quality of rugby that has been played.
