What Basil has said is that he will offer to help Gleeson from August onwards when he needs somewhere to train. If his attitude and the way he has trained is ok there may be a slight possibility that a contract could be offered if there's a job that needs doing.

Nowhere has he said that he defintely going to sign him. Only Fev would be that stupid!

why would you want to bring a drug abuser into a well established group of players who have already proved what they are capable of doing without people like gleeson. why would you expose young up and coming second grade players to these people. its about time all first grade players were tested monthly and get this rubbish out of our game. cas are doing ok without gleeson or his like.

Very true, we are doing well enough but I assume you were one of those who cheered when it was announced that Terry Newton had taken his life and also feel that Gleeson shouldn't have an opportunity turn his life around.

Yes his life is a mess but no one on this earth doesn't deserve some help when its needed. As its continually said, we are part of the rugby league family and help shouldn't be far away. You have your opinion but I for one would be more than happy to see him back in training, being tested regularly and hopefully turning his life around.

I honestly wouldn't want Gleeson at our club, he has more than just a drug issue. Trouble seems to follow him around (or maybe it is all Longy's fault).

Also, by the end of the year he will not be match fit and at his age I would much rather bring in a youngster or someone through our own academy than someone who can only play a couple more seasons on a high wage

No way do we want to be wasting money on Gleeson, in my eyes he has always been very over-rated and never looks fit when hes playing.
