Yet another reason for our sport to be seen in a bad light.

Some of these players need to wake up and realise that they're doing something most of us can only dream of.

How and why they think they will get away with such behaviour is beyond me, surely by now (especially after the HGH case of Terry Newton) they must realise that they are going to be caught and banned and it is simply not worth losing your career over, especially at Gleeson's age when he was probably on a fair whack as it is.

Now bringing the game into disrepute, didnt we get a forty grander for doing that allegedly

I am much more disgusted by the Hull playing staff complicit in the whole thing, that stinks and if you want to try and tell me they were the only 2 people complicit in the cover up, I would suggest you fornicate yourself away because I am not buying it.

That is what makes me want to vomit. The player makes an idiot decision, no problems. But for the club to try and cover it up and make it go away - I am not having that. Others within the Hull club MUST have sanctioned the leave, MUST have know what questions to avoid, others must, KNOWINGLY in interviews have lied about why the player was not selected.

I hate cheating and lying.

Even worse Cas lost out on the play offs by a point to who ? Fc who won a game with Gleeson in it whilst on drugs !

What has happened, has happened - i now have only two concerns and curiousity as to what in the end comes out in the wash that further damages the game.

1) Gleesons state of mind and levels of support (we should as a sport have learned from the awfull situation with Terry Newton.
2) The further tarnished reputation of the game with another scandal we could have done without.

Where does this leave Hull as a club (Probably in the clear as a new regime is in
place) will there be further findings with members of the old regime and other members of the football staff or has the issue now been concluded (hopefully) and the matter closed ?

The report seems to suggest without specifying an actual name who asked of the products legality, that the player (Sean Long ?) was told by the conditioner the product was ok to use and this incorrect information was passed on to Gleeson by Long (silly boy should have checked himself).
Rule gave a statement for both the player and the conditioner to use as evidence tailored to what he wanted to be said.
Was Rule trying to cover up for the player, cover up the clubs poor signing and saving face, covering up incompetency of club staff in not carrying out a thorough check on the product, or all of the above ?

I also found it interesting how in Hull's official statement aside from distancing themselves as far from the old regime as possible, they seem to also make a swipe directed not just at the player and Rule but at the former chairwoman.

Whatever the answer to all the above a sad day for the game !

Agreed but it could have been much worse,the statement could have had a swipe at the chairperson lol.

Cas missed out on the play offs due to losing too many key players through injury before the business end of the season, also there inability to take points from either of the Hull clubs in there last games - we had poor luck and ourselves to blame !

The Hull club statement could have said chairperson if there was a need to be politically correct and not refering to an individual who was female ???

FC won games on the back of gleeson trys,1 game lost would have put you and not them in the pos.
