| I feel the need to start a new thread as the Cas Wakey thread will now degenerate into childs play and not even worth reading...my Dad is bigger than your dad.
The sickening thing about tonight is that we didn't learn from last week. Matterson said - 'let this be a wake up call to all of us'. I have walked away with someone that drove back and forth to London last week to see the same team throw away another game. I have walked up Wheldon Road with people that have said they aren't going to Saints...but they intended to before they witnessed that.
We read the spiel about lets get 10k in the ground, we read the Twitters from players that say the same and we fly a legend across the world to witness that. We build ourselves up, momentum, hope...the crowd turn up. Then...bad attitude, lazyness...for the 2nd week running. Mentally weak. We have a backer in Feisal, things going well off the field and the players have let us down tonight.
We have had a great start, beyond our wildest expectations. Maybe we thought that our attitude had changed for the better. Warrington go to Salford today and win 60-0. That is attitude. That is professionalism.
As if we needed an incentive, we would have gone top. Our attitude changed and lifted when we were behind. We got stuck in and lifted the intensity. Why wait until we are behind ?
So disappointing. If we had been in a battle and lost out then so be it, yet for me we didn't even hit top gear. Lazy and bad attitude, our players are becoming as arrogant as some of our fans.
That is game one of Easter and the players will have to go to Saints now with a lot less support than they would have had. The support that they had won back, they will now have to try and win back again.

| We didn't turn up in the second half but Wakefield did. It was certainly a game of two halves and we'll have to learn from this as Wakefield did not look like they were at the bottom tonight. I congratulate Wakefield on not giving up.

| The problem I have with the second half tonight is it isn't the first time a side coached by Matterson has collapsed like that - how many times over the years have you seen Cas take a lead just to throw it away and lose narrowly, it was a big problem last year and it looks like it's starting to creep back in with the throw away draw against Quins and tonights debacle.

Wait until Monday at Saints and then Friday home to Leeds. We'll see what character is there for those games.

You should have no problems against us on Monday night. We can't field a first team. We are dipping into the u20s just to put bodies on the park. We only have one half back. I've no doubt we will work hard but you should run riot in Widnes.
It was always going to be a challenge for us with you in the kind of form you have been this season, but I think our match with you on Monday is one step too far for us.

Your team have this habit of putting 50 points plus on us so that's a concern. If we do beat you on Monday I'll be happy but surprised.

I didn't go, or listen to it. I just know how shocking he was in Cardiff.

Alright if you're a Wakey fan. Gave Cas nothing all night and I literally mean that. Pen count was Cas not very many, Wakefield lots.
I am frustrated, angry, disgusted, fuming and not just at the referee. The players played their part in the loss. Just a shocking display all around.

He did a lot better; seemed to have a bee in his bonnet about crossing tonight - both sides got penalised a fair few times for that. Otherwise, I don't think either side could cry foul on the refereeing front.

Think it was something stupid like 2-2 or 3-2 for penalties for crossing
Touch judge should have spotted Griffin being offside for his try though

| TBH how many times has something like this happened... and I don't just mean recently? We run into a bit of form, we go out against a team lower than us in the table and end up faffing about and losing the game. What matters now is Monday and Friday.

| The referee didn't really have a bearing on the result.
For me, it was all about attitude. Wakefields was better than ours and I can find no reason whatsoever why that may be. We should not lose any game, especially at home when you can go top of the league when the opposition, whoever it may be, show a bigger desire to do the hard work.

| Think we got 3 pens wakey got plenty but its not the ref who misses the tackles or drops the ball. I have never seen owen drop the ball as much as he did tonight and Brett Ferres didn't exactly shine.
