Thompson can still do a job at Cas,i would prefer him on the wing to Dixon,who i think has lost pace and on his showing as goal kicker on Saturday is running out of reasons to be in the starting 13.

Dixon's error rate is miniscule and he has never relied on pace for a decent try return so until Owen is fit he is a shoe in. Maybe TM wanted more experience at centre alongside Arundel but against a weakened Wakey back line I would have given Thompson a go as moving Ferres reduces already limited back row options and usually results in chances going begging because he can't/won't execute the outside pass.
