Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.

| Everything seems good at the moment. Has TM finally got the squad sorted? He has had his doubters over the seasons but since signing Isa, I don't think I have heard anyone say anything bad about the squad.
So what are TMs greatest triumphs and what have been his greatest balls ups and can he beat his previous best achievments this season?

| Our promotion back into SL was huge for all concerned because there was so much riding on it not to mention some great signings by TM in Danny Brough, Rangi Chase and Willie Manu although our defense has at times been nonexistant which is something we really need to correct this year.
Without doubt there have been selection errors but I would say that alot of these were due in no small part to the size of our squad this last couple of years whilst the club were saving the pennies.
I have stood up for Terry many times but this year I will be harder to please because with this crop of wonderful young kids at his disposal and not to mention some shrewd aquisitions in Danny Orr and Mathers I have higher expectations than previous years.
Biggest balls up? I was not there but getting beat by Barrow at home was a tough one to swallow not to mention the debacle at Millenium magic against Wakey which was painful to watch then again there have been alot of thumpings we could all list. I think this could be a defining year for Terry as for the first time in my opinion we have a squad that can do more than just cope with the high pace of Superleague and some of these young lads are already prepared to step up and do more than make up the numbers and the team spirit this year is far better than I have seen at Cas in a long time so it all bodes well.

| I'm a big fan of TM. We were a bottom SL club when he joined, now we are a play-off challenging team. We have a load of quality youngsters coming though. Put simply, the results speak for themselves.

I'm sure if you asked TM it would be the finger incident!

The lack of a cup run last year was a bad one. I just hope he gives the young players a shot early on so they aren't thrown in at the deep end should we have an injury crisis mid season.

| Apart from the odd moment of doubt, most notably after the Barrow cup-tie, I've been a fan of TM. I sense his reputation, especially in Oz, has enabled us to attract players who would not have signed for other equally promising but inexperienced coaches. And it has to be remembered he is still learning and with that in mind I think he has shown a remarkable ability to turn things round when times have got particularily bad....a lot of so-called top coaches at big clubs have crashed and burned when faced with their first major crisis. Also unlike some predecessors he has not sacrificed youth development for short term improvement.

| His one let down is his defence. Lets hope some of the experianced players ie Orr Fozzard and Mathers can put there stamp on that weak part of our play.

| Our defence has been poor during his reign and we haven't performed in the one-off 'must win' games against relatively weak opposition- Wakey at home in the relegation decider & Crusaders away last year are two that immediately spring to mind. Having said that with the players & finances at his disposal after a shaky start our league position at the end of the last 2 seasons has been as good as we could have reasonably hoped for.

| Think I stand with most Cas fans (and I'm talking about the people that go to the games not those 'fans' that don't actually attend then criticise based on what they've heard from a mate or read in the press) in being a fan of Matterson.
In the last couple of seasons with a slightly better sqaud at his disposal we've played some entertaining rugby. As has been noted above, I've no doubt that his reputation in Australia has helped us to sign better overseas players than we might have done otherwise.
The glaring weakness, again as has already been picked up on, is our defence under his tenure. Even when we were in NL1 in 2007 and hammering teams on a weekly basis we very rarely prevented even the weakest of opposition sides scoring a try. If you look at our 'points against' whilst in Superleague its nearly always ranked very near the bottom of the table even if our position is somewhat higher. People might say its inevitable with the way that Cas play that we'll concede plenty of points but a lot of the points we concede are just soft tries - players failing to maintain concentration defending near their own line etc - and this is something the coach could address by instilling more discipline into the players and putting more emphasis on this aspect.
