Were we really that bad? (last 15 mins aside of course)

Probably too fed up to post,we have been in position's to close games out before and blown it (Hull kr this year,Giants last year in the cup spring to mind).

Sounded like two average to poor teams slugging it out on the radio

Pretty even for the first 40 mins, maybe quins just shaded it.
I suppose we were lucky to be in the lead at HT though it was a mistake on the quins line that gave higgins the try to send us in winning.

First 20 mins second half it was all cas played some good rugby and rightly went into a 8 points lead.

One unforced error by jordan thompson turned the game, a kick by quins in there own half was knocked on by thompson unopposed on our 20 meter line. From the scrum quins scored and our heads went down, from there onwards quins took control and was on the front foot for the last 15/16 mins.

Imo our problem lied out wide, wainwright and thompson both had a poor game.
Wainwright was miles out of position from the cross field kick, infact he was know where near it. Thompson though i dont want to get on his back seemed out of his depth and the quins kickers targeted both wainwright and thompson.

Another weakness was defending on our own line, we lets some soft tries in from close range. Our over all fitness looked inferior to quins which imo is a major worry....and needs sorting.

Wainwright got caught out in a similar fashion to a cross field kick against salford.

Don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure Sean Long will target him Sunday

We need a full back who can actually tackle to start with. I wonder how many missed tackles McGoldrick racked up yesterday, utter garbage in defence and cost us many a try.

I watched the game with a mate & his son who being Southerners don't watch much RL. I gave them a quick run down on who to look out for and the likely result. I explained we were likely to to have a 15 minute spell each half where we went to sleep and let the opposition in for 2 or 3 tries and that 'the guy with the tattoos' can't catch or tackle and is likely to get into a fight. After the match the accuracy of my predictions were praised. I think anyone who's followed Cas over the last 4-5 years would have said exactly the same before kick off, and the reason no-ones talking about the game is because we've seen this performance so many times its not worth further comment.
