| From what I have just seen regarding his recovery on Boots and All, if that is an accurate report on how Cas have handled him since his injury regards his recovery, then he needs to get away asap along with the likes of Westerman, or the conditioning staff need sacking.

| can't get 'Boots and All' wher I live or on Sky player.....what did it say then?....Sounds very disturbing if a key asset like Owen is being treated badly by the club.

| from what he said he has basically been sat on his rear since his injury, the lad has dropped a shed load of weight that is evident, he stated how depressing it was to wake up and only have the prospect of watching tv all day, and cannot wait to get back to training.
Quality players in rugby league need treating like the professionals they are, if they are being neglected in this way then questions need to be asked.

| Poor guy...must be a real pi$$er to be out long term when your just breaking into the 1st team.
I agree that its a travesty if the club aren't looking after him properly. Shame.

| I'm currently recovering from a very similar injury, incurred a few weeks earlier than Richie's, and was told to do very little apart from 'sit on my rear' and keep the leg elevated until the second, lightweight, cast came off. At the Barrow game Rich was still in a heavy pot and I understand he had suffered an infection which would put his rehab several more weeks behind mine and I've only been in physio since mid-April. If my experience is anything to go by there's nothing the club will be able to do about his physical condition yet and I'm not prepared to judge their pastoral care on the basis of an item on a magazine programme which rarely prtrays us favourably.

How dare you introduce common sense and facts into a debate when people had a new angle from which to have a good old moan about the club.
Sorry to hear about your injury anyway Smoking Monkey and hope you're now on the road to recovery.

I watched the programme but you can't have done but made this all up as you're talking drivel.

What would you recommend mate? Some light training? Easy jogging?

| I watched the interview and his mum stated that his team mates had been visiting him and how he was more mobile he was going down to the club.
The lad had a serious injury and needed rest and recuperation, what he didn't need was the club making him feel like they were putting him underpressure to get back to work! Now he is more mobile I have no doubt that he will be involved more but this will be taken at Richards pace.
To be honest I think you heard what you wanted to hear on the interview and blanked out the rest

More like he just made it all up and thought that no-one would notice.

I'm getting there Bonzo thanks...almost had a major setback down the lane a few weeks back when HKR fans kept trying to kick my crutches from under me
Worst thing was missing the win at Leeds after seeing us get hammered there over the last 10 years.

| Owen should be on a rehab programme right from point 1. He is still able to do upper body work and also able to work his good leg, which will help his injured leg via a 30% training cross over.
Having one of the finest young talents in the game sat on his behind all day instead of getting started on his rehabilitation is criminal in my opinion.
Ignorance is no excuse.

And did it say that he had done none of these things?
