| hi
not sure if I'm reading too much into this but over the last 7 days we have had alot of support from various places in the media saying how good it is to come and play at Castleford. Ray French wrote a piece in the Rugby League Express on monday, Stevo Eddie and Clarkie saying how they love coming to cas, then Justin Morgan in the after match interview saying how he loves coming to Cas to a proper rugby league ground for a fantastic atmosphere.
Just seems strange that we are getting a lot of comments.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

| The Jungle is one of the last traditional stadiums in the top league, and it offers what all modern stadia can't, which is having the crowd as close as possible to the action on the field which always generates a good atmosphere.
The KC and such like may look 'nice' but the atmosphere unless packed to the rafters, is crap let's be honest.

| It was a good atmosphere last night, the on-field annoucer did a good job of getting both sets of fans involved. I thought that the standard of 'Paws' was much better than the Dance troop we had at Rovers last week. Both mascots were gave good entertainment.
I was surprised at the attendance 2000 down on last season, didn't seem that low.
It always good to go to Cas, get to speak to other supporters and have an enjoyable time

That suprised me a bit, looked a good fair few more than the official attendance that was announced.
Its going to be a huge loss to to the game when you finally do leave Wheldon Rd!

| Was going to come on and say how much I loved the jungle experience last night.
It was my first visit since our nl1 game about 5 years ago and I loved everyminute. The atmosphere was superb, the one thing I can never figure out is why the cas fans stand behind the posts and not along side the pitch?

| We do, when you lot don't arrive and decide to take over half the Princess St stand, rather than the Railway End

| Wheldon Road is a great ground, but the fact is we need to move if we are to grow. Although current fans of all clubs love the ground, we won't attract new fans to a ground that has poor facilities.
Add to that our training facilities are second to everybody, we need new ones to develop our players and get them in peak condition.
We can only hope that the move to Glasshoughton will replicate the atmosphere of The Jungle, and that home fans stand down the side of the pitch...

| Best "traditional"ground in super league by far is the jungle.
Be a shame when you leave it.

| Me and dad were talking last night. Do we really need a new stadium?
Could we not build a brand new stand down the full length of the main stand side and a seated stand at the railway end. Then refurb the rest over time. That way we have a 50/50 seated, standing ground, retaining all of what so many love, yet we still get the facilities we desperately need.
Maybe this debate has been had and there are reasons why. But people love coming to The Jungle. Why stop that?

1. It would cost as much (if not more) to redevelop rather than building a new stadium
2. The location is not ideal, it is close to the centre of Castleford yes, but in Glasshoughton we have the most popular paid-for tourist attraction outside of London, it is an opportunity to promote the club that we cannot miss out on.
