7658.18 in fact. Give yourself a dolly mixture.
The figure given is the average before the Hull KR match.
Including the Halifax CC game, the average home attendance this year is 7486 (and a quarter!)

| I actually calculate our average to be 7658, not that it makes too much odds I suppose. The sky games are in bold.
Harlequins RL 7,049
Salford 7,052
Huddersfield 6,572
Bradford 9,185
Wakefield 10,155
St Helens 8,003
Leeds 8,082
Warrington 5,628
Catalans 5,508
Hull 8,297
Hull K.R. 8,709
Sky results obviously have a big impact but last year the Huddersfield game wasn't on Sky and there wasn't too much difference in how many turned up. I think the biggest disappointment there is the Wire game, sure it was on Sky, but so was the Catalans game and we know what their following is like.
I suppose we were rather fortunate to play Quins on game 1 and pull in a decent opening game attendance.
With only Wigan and Celtic left, I reckon our final average will be about 7400. It's a shame we couldn't hit the 8k this year. It would have looked good for the franchise application. Hopefully we will hit it next season.

I still thought we might with wigan bringing a few and some good promotion for the celtic game, now the wigan game is on sky i would be happy if we match last years. I reckon having so many home games on sky (compared to one away) has knocked about a 1000 off our average.

If we somehow managed to get 10k to both games, we would only just average over 8k with 8018 so we can almost certainly rule that out.
I've given a pessimistic guess of 7000 for the Wigan game and 5000 for the Celtic game to get my earlier final average of 7400.
If we managed 8000 and 6000 respectively, we'd still only have an average of 7557.

If I was a cynic I would say Sky doen this deliberately to sabotage our next application the way they keep bleating on about mergers and ground sharing etc!!!

Didnt bother to work out the sums to be honest just assumed if we could get a crowd like the kr game for wigan and 7500 against celtic (last game of the season, should increase the gate) we would be over 8000, my bad.

| Keep in mind that last years figures may have set a relatively low reference figure due to it pi**ing it down all year. Hence giving giving many an excuse for not going to the game.
However, I suppose that could be offset by the financial situation facing many this year also! Perhaps balancing the two out!!
Gut feeling is:-
1) I thought the increase at Cas would have been more.
2) I thought Wakey's figure last year looks a bit high.
3) God know's how Celtic get over 3000
4) Huddersfield combined season tickets with football at a dirt cheap price.
etc etc etc!

The problem is we've had games such as Leeds and Warrington which are 2k down on what you would expect. The weather wasn't good and it was on Sky but we normally break the 10k for Leeds and 7k for Warrington.

To be fair to Sky, you have to understand why they choose the home game against Leeds because it's usually a cracking game with a fantastic atmosphere.
It would be nice to still have a full house for it though.
