Obviously was not there tonight but sounds like he had a good game other than the one on one situation for the try. I am kirks biggest critic at times especially with his kicking but sounds like he played well tonight.

He's a bit greedy sometimes, but not a bad player. Played very well tonight.

His kicking is another story, but who else have we got that can do better ?

I won't knock any of 'em tonight, including Dicko. I hate to think of how it might have ended if those kicks hadn't gone over.

end of the day you shouldnt have to buy a player just because he is a good kicker, i think the downfall is a good kicking coach, is this something cas should maybe invest in Frano Botica for instance???? Might sound unecessary but how many times have we lost because of missed goals ???

You dont need a bloody coach, I can kick goals - Touchline ones 5 from 10, All it takes is practice, If Kirk is going to be goal kicker he should practice an hour a day, From all over the pitch - For what its worth Joe is the better kicker, But i think he wants to concentrate on his rugby

i must say yes i do agree practice makes perfect. i was a goal kicker too and i practiced for hours myself. But look at Union, how many missed kicks do you see in union and they are coached

Can anyone remember Ben Walker (aussie) who played at the rhino's for a while? He had a very good kicking record and I remember him being interview about goal kicking. The interviewer asked reckoned he must practice for hours a day to be such an accompished kicker. To which Walker replied: "I don't practice at all. The sticks don't move, you can see where they are, just kick the ball towards them and over the crossbar, it's not rocket science"!
No doubt about it, one of the funniest things I ever heard!

It might just be my imagination but it seems to me that every NRL side can boast a goal kicker with a success rate that we could only dream of at Cas.

Goalkicking is something that should improve with practise so if Dixon doesn't improve then I'd suggest he needs to put in more practise or he's someone who just can't kick under the pressure of thousands of spectators watching him in which case Cas need to give the job to someone who can.

You can't knock 8 from 9 and quite a few of those were wide enough out to be missable. If he can kick like that more regularly he'll make himself indispensable. Thought he had a pretty good all round game in any event.
