Looks like we might want to have a re-think regarding the 10K capacity for 5 Towns Park ?

We only seem to hit (or get close to 10k) when we play local derbies & maybe Wigan. Given that we are getting it for free no strings are we really in a position to demand changes at this late stage?.

If the demand is there for increased capacity we do what Warrington did and fill the corners in and fund it ourselves.

Totally agree DS10. I would love to see the full-house signs up for 5 or six games a season. Leeds, Wigan, Hull FC, Hull KR and Wakey would be a start. Bulls back in SL would be another. Sell the Jungle and with the cash put some corners in to take it up to 12K. Ideal scenario.

The development was relient on.
30 million private investment
Local government support (financial )
Cas tigers to contribute 2 million plus a lot of other bits,roads,transport etc.

There is a 20 million shortfall in private investment

Cas tigers don't have the 2 million.

Local government were hoping for Westminster to help them cover there cost as there is no money in the pot.

The whole thing is a joke it won't happen

By the standards of the debate on here does he really need proof? Cas fans fans seem willing to except the ground will be first to be built under the 106 agreement even though no one has seen it or what it says. I think you should look at the York Court scenario to realise how these things can pan out. I would also suggest you do more reading on the inadequacies of 106 agreements in general. Just a friendly warning against complacency.

Congratulations, brilliant news - we all love trips to Wheldon Road but she's had her day and though leaving Wilderspool was a wrench I certainly wouldn't swap for the modern facilities at the HJ - really pleased for all the Cas fans
