| They will be no ground share at Glasshoughton simply because no stadium will be built at Glasshoughton. The reason.....Money!
For all Dickies latest ramblings the fact is that Castleford Tigers have shown no compromise what so ever. A ground share in a neutral location like Newmarket would be the only way forward as compromise. Trouble is with Dickie is he wants his cake and eat it! Something that won't of gone a miss at RFL headquarters.
After last years warning letters the RFL have to show they mean business. How would it look when clubs like Halifax and Leigh have worked there butts off to get facilities up to SL standard and get denied when clubs like Cas have done nothing but break promises? Like I've already said this will happen just watch this space.
Personally I think the whole process ridiculous, been a tradionalist I believe the game should be decided on the pitch not behind closed doors. Unfortunatly our Mug chairman's voted for this selfish system of ring fencing ourselves and now its going to be both clubs downfall. Like I said earlier, enjoying it while the sun shines!

Translated...Glasshoughton is still after 5 years, work in progress and is likely to still be in 5 years time due to a lack of funding!

Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

Does AG have that sort of money? In a word, yes.
I think some in the RL world haven't yet realised how wealthy he is.
Could he raise that money without dipping into his own pocket through his substantial business portfolio, almost certainly.
AG is a very successful businessman & IMO could be a potential solution to the problem.
Have I lost hope in NM? Far from it. I am more sure than ever that NM will be developed due to the LDF dates.
NM represents more than Pro RL & will be the crowning piece of sporting heritage for years to come- & I'm sure CT will make use of the amazing training facilities. But in all honesty isn't feasible due to red tape when WT need it most, now.
J32 maybe feasible but as we all know lacks funding. AG could be the solution to the short term problem we face a region. With the end game being 2 state of the art stadiums and world class training and development facilities for the use of all 3 teams in the vicinity.
If properly done (with taste and caution) we could make a solution to enable both clubs to go forward- regardless of how SL rules in July.
Utopian and idealistic maybe, but feasible.... IMO YES.

| deeHell: Why ruin another stadium thread?
Our time for back biting is done, save it for the field.
Off the field we need to work together.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

| Jesus! One win against a team that has only managed a single win all season themselves and they are back. How's the search for the scoreboard going?

23517.gif George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side.":23517.gif |

That's what I'm hearing too.
As long as it's a 50/50 deal I have no problem.
Whatever anyone thinks/historically thought about sharing has to been seen in the wider context of the game & the futures of both clubs.
TBH the more I think about it the more it seems like the logical option we've all ignored all along.
1 Stadium being used by 2 teams would give us both the quality stadium we need and give us both much more spending power due to reduced cost of upkeep.
Anyone that doubts AG's financial capabilities need to look at the total number of businesses he owns.
50% of a a stadium would roughly be equivalent to a new production plant or warehouse/distribution centre with associated machinery- would that come from his pocket? No because he's a successful businessman.
All I'm saying is this has to be considered. If it's J32 so be it- just do it right and get on with it!

Considering RW's exact words were "Wakefield offer nothing" when asked about a groundshare at Glasshoughton, I don't think he's too keen on the idea.
Added to the fact with all the work Cas have put in already, there is no way a 50/50 share should be considered.

Break promises?
You mean: The one stating that we'd build a new stadium? Yep, that's still in-tact, no promise broken.
Or: The one stating we'd build a stadium at Glasshoughton? Yep, that's still in tact - no promise broken.
The RFL are well aware of our situation. I suggest you go away and concentrate on worrying about your own problems. You do nothing but make yourself sound like a bitter, bitter individual.

Hull have got one win this season but still, I agree with your point. The more they keep denying, the more our fans I believe.
