Point of order:
Stanley is not, and never has been, in the city of Wakefield. Other than being a village rather than a town, it's just like cas. Stanley Urban District Council was absorbed by Wakfield District in the 1974 reorganisation, just like Castleford Borough Council.
P.S.
To settle a bet: Did you get your user name from how many times Tricky Dicky has been open and honest about the progress of GH or from how many times Wakefield has finished bottom of superleague?

Grow up the lot of you, how pathetic is this latest knob measuring contest.
Usual suspects, usual tripe.
The only facts are that none of us know if/when either stadium will be built.

Usual off-season fayre, nothing of use to talk about, so petty who can p155 highest up a wall contest. I have taken to working during the day instead of reading this forum for a while.
How very tiresome, I would like to actually discuss something really related to rugby league or Castleford, I have tried to post insightful meaningful things on a few discussion threads, before they became tool measuring point scoring crap....... But in the meantime I should say: everybody who plays for Hull KR is from down under, I hate Leeds and Wakey are poor and Fev, well, dont get me started....... YAWN.

Both losers im afraid, the name is about how many times wakey paid a debt, and how many times Cas went into administration.
Always happy to help those who are not as bright as they should be

| Wouldn't groundshare cos that's a step away from the 2 clubs merging into one.
The thing that winds me up is how fans of certain clubs that are tennants of football clubs gloat about their wonderful stadiums and criticise the likes of Cas and Wakey for not having the luck to be in the vicinity of a football ground they can use. But go all quiet when they have to make alternative arrangements because their landlords (the football club) decide its inconvenient for them to use their ground. eg. when relaying the pitch or because the football club has got a game that weekend.
To my mind when considering the ground aspect of a franchise bid a point should be lost if you have had to play at an alternative ground in the previous franchise period having effectively been kicked out by the football club. Wigan & Huddersfield wouldn't be so cocky then....

Absolutely, the franchise system should reward clubs for owning rather than being tenants, just like they did for being geographically far away from another club.
Clubs such as ours (if we ever find out who owns BV) are penslised all ways round.

Indeed. The trouble is the RFL are blinded by the nice shiny stadia of Huddersfield, Wigan et al and fail to see the downside such as Huddersfield having to play 3 or 4 'home' games at another clubs ground a few miles away whilst their 'own' ground has its pitch repaired. Or that Wigan have to play a play-off-game at Widnes cos Wigan Athletic have a premiership game that weekend, or that Wigan have to play a play off game on a Sunday against the preference of the SL and SKY because Athletic won't let them play on a Friday or Saturday.

| Has any CT fan considered the possibility that the application on WR could very well lead to a PI?
There is the possibility of other supermarkets objecting on the basis of market share & competition (ASDA at GH are non too happy after being limited with redevelopment/buying neto), the possibility of other sites which are also bidding for the right to build the new supermarket objecting/appealing to the SoS; all of which potentially (key word there) lead to a PI.
Should that happen I think you would be very silly to refuse to contemplate a move to NM- which has it's own battles to be fought, although ours will be resolved in 3 months time, with a public announcement a few weeks later. All of which is moving in the right direction, at pace if you know where to look!
I honestly hope for the situation of us both being in new grounds in the next 3 years, CT are an essential income stream to WT & vice versa.
The only banter I will put down is that in terms of plans; our stadium is easily better & our site blows yours out of the water! I would put money on CT using the training facilities as much as WT!- But then they're yours too you know!
Good luck and enjoy your off season CT fans- Back for our revenge at MM!
See you in Feb!
