I dont think that the rfl would pull either of our licences in the next 3 years, we would have be replaced by a club that would be weaker, it woul;dnt make sense, there is no expansion club to promote now so i think that we will remain in sl for the next few years short of a financial explosion. I expect us to both to sort our grounds anyway

Point of order:
Stanley is not, and never has been, in the city of Wakefield. Other than being a village rather than a town, it's just like cas. Stanley Urban District Council was absorbed by Wakfield District in the 1974 reorganisation, just like Castleford Borough Council.

To settle a bet: Did you get your user name from how many times Tricky Dicky has been open and honest about the progress of GH or from how many times Wakefield has finished bottom of superleague?   |

Usual off-season fayre, nothing of use to talk about, so petty who can p155 highest up a wall contest. I have taken to working during the day instead of reading this forum for a while.
How very tiresome, I would like to actually discuss something really related to rugby league or Castleford, I have tried to post insightful meaningful things on a few discussion threads, before they became tool measuring point scoring crap....... But in the meantime I should say: everybody who plays for Hull KR is from down under, I hate Leeds and Wakey are poor and Fev, well, dont get me started....... YAWN. |

Wouldn't groundshare cos that's a step away from the 2 clubs merging into one.
The thing that winds me up is how fans of certain clubs that are tennants of football clubs gloat about their wonderful stadiums and criticise the likes of Cas and Wakey for not having the luck to be in the vicinity of a football ground they can use. But go all quiet when they have to make alternative arrangements because their landlords (the football club) decide its inconvenient for them to use their ground. eg. when relaying the pitch or because the football club has got a game that weekend.
To my mind when considering the ground aspect of a franchise bid a point should be lost if you have had to play at an alternative ground in the previous franchise period having effectively been kicked out by the football club. Wigan & Huddersfield wouldn't be so cocky then....

Absolutely, the franchise system should reward clubs for owning rather than being tenants, just like they did for being geographically far away from another club.
Clubs such as ours (if we ever find out who owns BV) are penslised all ways round. |
