Finally a bloke who has been there and done that, yet another aussie who always seem to be the best for the tigers. This is a guy who is someone who could really implement some much needed strength in the back door scenes of the club, hopefully pushing some of our players into taking their off-field responsibilities and expectations of a professional rugby player more seriously.

You have got one of the top coaches in SL 2012, barstewards.

Millward will get the 25% extra from players that will take the club forward, youngsters coming through will be coached properly and that conveyor of potential will be realised.

The man will win the fans over on the first meeting, he is passionate about who owns a club - its fans. You will find him accessible and honest.

You will play open exciting RL that you will be delighted to pay to watch.

I hope we take him back in 3 years when hopefully we join the party via the next franchise debacle.

Well as the bloke who first mentioned him in connection with the job on here (check back if you like!) and also one of his fiercest critics regarding his tipping column on Sporting Life, all I can say is that I wish him every success in his head coaching role at the tigers.

I have watched RL since 1963 and believe me when i say Ian Millward is one of the best without doubt
this season at Leigh every single player has improved from last season he his a great believer in bringing young players through and has great man management skills , great motivator and a really nice bloke who always has time for the people who matter the supporters, his knowledge of the game is second to none and hes won trophys at the highest level Cas have got a top bloke in Millward and a brilliant coach..Everyone who supports Leigh Centurions is gutted Ian is leaving what does that tell you !!!
