I know it's hardly scientific but almost half of the people who voted disagree with you, and a hell of a lot more than that over on our forum.
I can think of one main reason not to ground share, merger!!
I can think of numerous reasons why both clubs could as well.
At the end of the day, and for whatever reason, we may end up without a choice, none of us know what's around the corner.
I am just pleasantly surprised that the feckless self appointed "big mouths" who shout (on behalf of their clubs and its support) the loudest and bang the drum, are in a minority at least as far this poll has been concerned.
I always laugh at people who shout, "it'll never happen" and "over my dead body" etc, as they are often the ones whos attitudes end up killing what they claim to love.
I'm not saying I'm 100% in support, but the common sense in me can see under certain situations it COULD be the best solution or at least the BEST of a bad situation, however under other situations, it's a no!!!
It seems that quite a few others would agree, and therefore it has IMO been a worthwhile exercise.
And perhaps it may highlight to others that they have a valid view and just because other shout louder, doesn't mean they don't have a voice.

I still dont see how such an arrangement could possibly benefit cas KC, if it were for just a season cas would be better off staying at WR as to move our entire infrastructure, lose matchday income and have a significant drop in attendances (look how saints have dropped and there going to widnes was much more popular than us going NM would ever be) would be a huge financial burden, the rfl would see that they dont want to weaken clubs for the sake of one year of box ticking. The only people to benefit would be however ends up with the rent money and who will that be and what would they do with it are unanswered questions. If it were for longer than a year then it will either end up as merger or one club going bust.
Us using newmarket makes as much sense as you sharing GH ie not much

If all goes well mate, it won't have to happen, but both of us have failed to deliver, and the bit in the franchise announcement regarding the possible revocation of licences within the three year period, got me thinking.
I accept it may not be to Cas' financial advantage, it was more about the attitude of the club and fans about doing something it would obviously prefer not to do, under a set of circumstances, but prolonging life in SL or wether other options, perhaps more draconian or harder over the short term would be more preferable.

Cas dont have much money, we never have had, we spend within our means, the hundreds of thousands of pounds we would lose if we moved to newmarket would probably see us go bust.
As long as we have a ground we own we will always have a future, without one we could easily fall in to oblivion. For either club sharing would be suicide imo, even for a year.

Ok, so if it now came down to a simple decision, the RFL are playing hard ball and they say to RW "your ground isn't coming on fast enough and we think x club in the championship should be looked at".
What do you do, stay at WR and go out of SL or look at a groundshare at wherever and stay in SL?
Which loses you the least?

Going down to the championship, we have survived it before and the outgoings are considerably less. Trying to staying in the sl with a massive drop in crowds and income would very likely see us go bust.
I can cope with watching cas in a lower league, i cant cope with the club ceasing to exist.

I agree 100% with the sentiment of your final statement, however going down now, with no guarantee of returning, unlike previously, could equally be terminal news.
Unless real money is invested in RL below SL level, life is going to get very grim.

Obviously it would be different this time if we were down for more than a year but i believe we would be able at least continue as a team.
I dont think that the rfl would pull either of our licences in the next 3 years, we would have be replaced by a club that would be weaker, it woul;dnt make sense, there is no expansion club to promote now so i think that we will remain in sl for the next few years short of a financial explosion. I expect us to both to sort our grounds anyway
