| As its turned into an appendage proportionality competition, something Mrs KC says i will never win so i'll bow out.
66% against, to be honest i thought it would be higher.
Good luck, hope none of us have to rely on this scenario, but im sure there are many bridgge for lots of water to go under.
Cheers.
KC

It would be interesting if you try the same poll questions on both boards with the opposite scenario -
"Castleford are on with GH and NM isn't looking like happening"
See what results you get then

| I think i answered you (now on numerous occasions on both boards), the differences are IMO enough to skew the results.
Do it from your POV, i'll certainly take part.

| So as this thread is supposed to be hypothetical what about another scenario that maybe not many people have thought about.
The town of Castleford could come under the district of Selby if it were to move away from WDC. There as already been talk of the boundaries moving towards the north yorkshire direction. Therefore Tigers (not been part of the Wakefield district) would not be able to accept this mythical ground sharing option at Newmarket.

O/T I know but the boundary changes your talking about (if they are approved) are for MP only, the local council responsibility for Cas would still lie with WMDC.
Personally I wouldn't want to share as imo it brings us one step closer to what I and a lot of others fought against with fans from the other two clubs across the district. As soon as we start sharing the RFL will be doing nothing but spouting the 'M' word, trying to cajole the two clubs to become one.

I think you are right Junglefever, if we ever decided to share a stadium, that is what the RFL would want.

Are you planning on moving it by yourself, or do you have some helpers?

| Would you ground share? No way, why ask? When will it sink in? We want nothing to do with you on any terms. Simples.

| The BOD at Tigers know how unpopular a move to Newmarket would be with the fans - even if only for a season. I personally think if we were to groundshare until the stadium at Glasshoughton was built we would go to Doncaster or even a re-vamped Post Office Road. All this tripe about "NM is nearly an equal distance between Wakey and Castleford" will not wash with the Tigers faithful - our BOD know that.
I get the feeling from some people involved at WTW that the club are desparate for a co-tennant even as far as to say without one there will be no new stadium at Newmarket.

Think you are right about the boundary changes, shame really i think most of the people of cas would jump at the chance to be part of selby council district instead of wakey.

I think in part, you've hit the nail on the head, perceived popularity!
But lets just say (hypotheticaly) that a problem arose with GH, affecting the short term. Not long enough to worry cas, but long enough to worry the RFL.
Would cas (the fans or the club) prefer to travel further rather than IF NM is built, go there?
I agree long term, the paranoid Kinleycat, would be expecting the M word to come from on high the RFL, so i wouldn't, nor would i expect anyone at WTW to support such a long term move.
On the other hand, it would benefit financially both clubs and sets of supporters, and i do believe (and if i'm honest i thought that ground share, was the original idea when NM was first mooted) it is a very sensible project in a very sensible area.

If cas fans had to travel most i'm sure would prefer doncaster, never heard a cas fan have a bad word to say about the ground and if every 'home' game becomes an away one we might as well go to a ground we all like. Wouldnt bother with newmarket doubt i could be bothered to spend the money traveling to every 'home' game if we had to go there, anyway as mentioned the cas bod know moving there, even for a season is a licence to lose money, how many rl teams have moved to a ground outside there home town and not decreased there support? I know you dont have any choice about where you have to move to but even for yourselves i can see you getting thousands less at newmarket than you would at a new stadium actually inside wakefield. Also who would financially benefit from cas sharing at new market? not cas obviously we lose money from matchday revenue and have to pay rent, who would get that rent money and what would they do with it. Sorry KC but you've got yourself a complete and utter non starter here.

Totally wrong pussy, the only act of childish mischief is the original post, the scroungers should not even be in Superleague and as for belle vue or whatever you lot call it now, wheres the promised improvements ?????
Glasshoughton will be built and then your lot will be around with the collection buckets again, havent you noticed, Yorkcourt have gone all quiet about the stadium part of the scheme ??????
Castleford will never share with the unwashed from over the common .............. simples

You refused to accept that the value of WR was considerably below the cost of building a new stadium (like I said all along). The whole Opus thing is obviously still in its infancy until the planning permission goes in (if it ever does) all your doing is speculating. It’s all wishful thinking and nothing factual has happened till that PP goes in. The truth is that nobody really has a clue what is going on behind the scenes. The whole Ben baileys fiasco took you all by surprise; I feel a few twists and turns will come with this Opus thing.
Wishful thinking will not get you your new ground.'"
