| think the point to fans of other clubs is......................
the membership costs £50
if you go to your team away at cas, thats £21 of that accounted for
plus the £25 off an MOT
that's only an actual COST of £4
but if you go to xscape a couple of times for some food then you've saved money WHILST putting your bit into rugby league!
Anybody that says "no cause it's cas" is NOT a rugby league fan in my eyes

In a Cas bronze membership you get two free tickets for £50.00, plus all the discounts at places around Cas and in Xscape etc etc. So effectively, if you bought one 'away' membership for you and someone else, you could use two tickets to Cas game, which is the same as paying £40.00 for two tickets to the game normally.
If you buy tickets now your club gets 10% of the money. Tickets last year were £18.00 for adult standing (so £1.80 is 10% for each ticket sold). If prices increase this year to £20.00 then that's £2.00 per ticket.
So for tickets sold through your club you could get £3.60/£4.00 for your club for two tickets. Whereas the scheme could work in favour of the away clubs because if we liaised with away clubs and allowed them to sell it through their own club shop, £10.00 of the sale of a membership could be given back to that club as an incentive for selling it. They'd be £6.00 up on the equivalent number of tickets. It would, therefore, generate more income for the away club and also increase Cas's income making finances stronger for all clubs concerned.

| I would go so far as to say it would benefit fans of clubs from further afield if they wished to combine their trip to Cas with eating in Frankie & Bennys or Chiquito's before/after the game.
Having not picked up my membership pack yet I don't know whether this is viable but say a family buys a Bronze membership that includes 2 game tickets for their teams game at Cas - both adults taken care at the ordinary cost of £40. Then visits one of the above establishments for a family meal which could easily cost £60 - £80 normally but for which they will save 20% or 25%.
I guess the only negative is that it seems like Cas are trying to make the Wheldon Road end Cas fans only by restricting it to members, but if away fans got membership they would be able to get in there as well.

| No it wouldn't, Cecil.
The Away one would be sold separately not including the Cas stuff. That could be sold for ground entry, excluding Wheldon Rd End.

| so thats equivalent to just over 2000 in comparison to us when all the money is added up, it might be more members or season ticket holders than they have had for a long time, but the bank statement wont have increased much

How did you come to that conclusion frank?
Just for the record i can't get an exact figure of sales at Wakey or any income thats come into the club from sales so you can speculate if you wish but thats all it is.
Anyway back to the topic of Cas memberships, from reading this board and that other excuse for a forum it seems that sales are going well and above what some predicted.
Do you not agree its a plus for both clubs?

Not quite Fully it was 4300 Gold passes at £125 then they went to £150 from the first of November and are now at £175 with sales towards Christmas and offers on for kids so 4000 at £125 is a little off the mark.

Is it? so all your membership packs are twice the price of Wakey then? I thought you had sold a shed load of Bronze at %£50 thats less than half the price of Wakefields origuinal price so have we taken twice as much revenue as Cas?
Dont need the spin you have sold several thousand so have we leave it at that its good for both clubs why have a wallet measuring contest

I haven't seen much publicity or announcements since you hit 4000 so that's why I used that as a minimum starting point.
Plus, it's hard to compare without a composition of Junior/Adult/Concessions, which would considerably alter the revenue brought in.

No, 84% of those sold were SILVER memberships (i.e. £43 Junior, £100-and-odd for concessions and £205 for Adults).
The remaining 16% were bronze (£50), Gold (£235) or Platinum (£600). I know for a fact we have sold some Platinum and Golds within those 16% so the bronze figures account to approx 400 or less of total sales.
So all of our memberships are more expensive than yours including the bronze, which dwarfs your Junior tickets.

Have you emailed the club with this suggestion? I imagine Fozzy and Sarah would discuss options

Last I saw we had sold 30 of the 50 allocated Platinum (although this was when the memberships first became available so that figure is probably more by now)
