If I had the time to deal with those responsible, I would but I have a life and I have better things to do with it than be a carer to a bunch of keyboard warriors who simply won't grow up. I was told an interesting story about this last night...

Allegedly the board were at loggerheads after interviews and couldn't come to a decision over who to appoint. So Jack Fulton took all the CVs home and read through them before returning the day after and asking for Millward's phone number. Fulton rang him and said "Do you want the job?" to which Millward replied "Yes!" Fulton then said "Ok it's yours".

If that really did happen, fair play to the chairman for taking control of the situation and appointing an established coach with a strong CV and a proven track record.

To be honest Millward wouldn't have been my choice, but now he's in on a three year deal it's time to accept it and give the bloke a chance. In fact the more I think about it, the more I think it could turn out to be quite a shrewd move. It's a clean slate next season as far as I'm concerned - Mr Millward, over to you.

It's looking increasingly like Mr Gentle and his agent have been playing a few clubs off against each other; if your story is true, perhaps your Chairman felt the same way and decided to call his bluff?

As good a job RW does with a tight budget, someone who's better at the job would INCREASE the clubs revenue and speculate to accumulate as it were when RW wont spend unless the cash is already there (i.e. we need more supporters to get better players) when some supporters wont go because of the lack of star players.

i for one will judge him on his time with us i wasn't happy about the things he said but the club comes first if he does the job with us then i'll be happy, he's a quality coach which is something we have needed for some time, going by the start we had and a cc semi with an inexperienced coach we could do even better with a coach with millwards experience
