| Quote: Tigerade ""I didn't expect to see so many people here today" - that just about sums it up.
Your conference room couldn't fit that many in, or on second thought has the $hlt tip got a conference hall, to start with?

| The only thing that worries me about all this is that I hope and pray Salford fans don't go the same way Wire fans did when they got good. I've always had a lot of time for Salford - great bunch of fans. It'd be such a shame to see them disappear up their own ****holes and start looking down on other teams' fans.

| Quote: K-Diddy "Did think it was a pretty crap thing to do having him, smith & hock there in salford tops when they've still got games to play for their clubs this season.'"
That's the thing that's got me, Rangi was always going to go to someone paying more money he's too good not to and he's looking after his family which is fair enough but to put another clubs colours on while still being payed by us is a kick in the nuts and about as disrespectful as can be to a club that backed him when not many would. However, it's no suprise to be honest....he turned his back on his country so he was always going to turn his back on us... That's life.

| In all fairness, the Warrington fans who were there when they were sh*t (excuse my French) are probably the same level headed grounded fans they were during he Wilderspool days. It's the new fans they've attracted since becoming successful that probably aren't aware of their previous fortunes who act in such an arrogant way.
I assume the same thing will happen with Salford should we become as successful as Warrington have.

| Morley wasn't wearing a Salford shirt was he? Shame Chase couldn't also politely decline until his contract actually starts.
If he helps Cas beat Wakey and England win the world cup I might forgive him
Shouldn't we all be moving onto the next transfer saga now anyway... Clarke to Warrington?

| I hope Salford fans don't get too big-headed, either. But we haven't had much to shout about in the last 35 years so we will try and enjoy our day in the sun. Perhaps some of us would come across as less aggressive if we didn't have opposition fans making such derogatory comments about the gentleman who has come from nowhere to save us from certain oblivion and provided us with some genuine hope of progression.

| I genuinely feel sorry Cas, whilst I'm over the moon we've signed Rangi who I rate just behind Sam Tomkins as the best in Super League, I can't help but have some sympathy with your fans. We know better than anyone what it's like, over the years we've lost Robinson, Hodgson, Coley, Myler, Turner, Ratchford, Moon, Holdsworth, M.Smith etc to bigger clubs who have more money than us to throw around.
I've seen the comments on your other Cas forum and they're nothing short of disgusting, particularly the ones which are offensive and disrespectful towards Dr Koukash but I know that represents only a minority.
All the best for next season, hopefully you can avoid relegation and use the Chase money well.

With Westerman, Lynch, Arundel, Manu, Godwin, Shenton (granted he is now back), Brough, Platt... I could go on and on... oh we know the feeling all too well. As I mentioned in another thread, best of luck next year. More than anything I hope it gets fans through the turnstyles. That is what Salford will need even more than silverware. And in general the game needs to be better attended across the board. Otherwise moneymen like Koukash will disappear and leave clubs immeasurably worse than they were before. We only need to cast our eyes down south to see what can happen if money is injected into a club and attendances fail to improve.
