Pretty real to be fair. Very likely the Best halfback in the competition. 2 years still to play on his contract (at least). Your old favourite Joe westerman commanded over 100k transfer fee so if you dont think chase would double that I think your version of reality is somewhat skewed.

| Time will tell. I think he is a Marmite coach, you will either love him or hate him. That goes for fans and players.
At Saints he had his favourites for certain.
I would not take the word of someone selling a book as gospel either though. Lets face it if you are selling something you need buyers.
At Saints we actually were less successful after he left.
We made many final appearances but wins well they were not so forth coming.
I had no problem with Saints sacking him but they way the board did it was more on a personal than business minded approach. We were top of the league playing great, sweeping all aside, for the board not to hold their powder till the end of the season was devastating. It knocked us right off our stride caused splits in the team, splits in the fans. They could have and should have waited but personal preferance overode sensible planning.
The new guy had to pull the players back into one unit and doing that whilst trying to make it in the playoffs was far too much in the limited time left that season.
From a cas point of view. Milward brought in Scully to Saints, he brought in Lyon, so he can spot talent and despite his attitude to the youth he brought them on too.
Some people like a nice friendly coach to give them a hug, but not all coaches are the same and not all coaches are players pals.
Is he the messiah no.
Is he better than your current coach yes.
AS for him saying Wakey and Cas should merge. Pretty much everyone out side Cas and Wakey tout that old chestnut as some miraclesolution. Lets face it Matterson once he announced he was leaving was suggesting a cut in the league to stop blow out scores like the ones cas suffered against Leeds the week after the CC semi. So Matterson your current coach is not entirely Cas through and through.

Remind me - which club was recently turned down by several of the coaches they made job offers to?

Remind me - which club has for a long time now had a sensible long-term business plan that hasn't resulted in them going into administration because they pay within their means?

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "It'll be one of the worst decisions in Castlefords history.
Ask the likes of Paul Sculthorpe, Kris Radlinski, Brian Carney etc about his man management, particularly his treatment of young players.'"
And yet, both Jamie Ellis and Tom Armstrong have come on very well under him, and he has been crucial in setting up and overseeing youth structures at Leigh.
Ask Longy about Basil. He loved playing for him. One man's meat is another's poison and that will be the case for every coach.
Based upon the sounds coming out of Leigh I'd say that Millward has grown up a lot since his time at Saints and that can only have made him an even better coach.
He's enabled Leigh to play some great rugby and has helped them win silverware. He enabled Saints to play some great rugby and helped them win lots of silverware.
The odd man out is Wigan. Now. I wonder why?

None that I know of - unless you're privy to communications between Cas and the 20 other people who applied but weren't appointed ...?
No, thought not.

Well gronky obviously cares having made himself look a right Div proving to all who were daft enough to listen to him that a certain Mr Gentle had not only got the job but would be introduced when the time was right, apparently there was never going to be a right time maybe your not too happy yourself judging by the resentment towards Wakefield with their new appointment.

That would be good news for you without a doubt, but I can't see it.
We should find out next week - if we do end up with the above comedy duo, I'll come back so you can gloat.

Be kind to them , theyre pinning their hopes on a double glazing salesman who was pinning his hopes on them being a championship club, but now the budget is out of his reach and that why goulding et al are mentioned, its all they can afford bless em.
It wont be long till they are collecting in that bucket again
