| Would you come to watch trinity play at gh kinleycat out of interest?
No brainer for me if we share a nm the club will either be merged, dead or playing in championship 1 within 5 years. I think we will take outr own chances thanks. Good luck with newmarket.

| Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"Not intending to cause any antagonisation, I would be genuinely interested in your views, this is as I posted it on our site;
Following on from some posts on the Newmarket thread.
If as I believe, one or both of Wakefield and cas will get booted out of SL if either fail to deliver a ground, would you agree or disagree to the following scenario:
Wakefield are on with NM and GH isn't looking like happening, cas will get the boot from SL if they do not join Wakefield at NM.
Wakefield obviously do not own NM, and it's purpose is to provide facilities to local sporting clubs, cas would have the right and Wakefield could not rightfully object.
Incedently there is 91% support at time of posting, I have changed some of the voting options, as the original ones were obviously with our own fans in mind.
Please remember this is hypothetical, and isn't meant as a dickmeasuring competition.'"
Nothing against you kinleycat but can i give you some more options as to if I would consider a ground share:
a)Never in a million years
b)Only when hell freezes over
c)When John Kear can grow a full blown mullet
d)When Wakefield win the grand final
On a serious note, I seem to remember Wakey dismissing the idea out of hand not so long ago when the idea was raised. I don't think I could ever see it happening without the teams merging, and that will be the day I stop watching rugby league forever.

Well done, for taking the quote out of context and trimming off the start of the sentence, to suit your desperate agenda. You're a winner - really you are.

There you go!
Quote bren2k="bren2k"I notice in today's WE that Yorkcourt have had good news for another big development just outside the city; a massive housing estate and commercial developments alongside the Paragon Business Park.
It doesn't mean much to the NM scheme in a substantive way, but I suppose it demonstrates their credentials in terms of getting these big projects off the ground; =#FF0000it could also suggest that their business is flush with both cash and confidence?'"
It could suggest it - but you never know!

Which proves that your original out of context mis-quote was, at best, an act of childish mischief designed to play to the gallery, or at worst, a dishonest attempt to highlight a point that I never made in the first place.
You can apologise whenever you feel ready.

For me pyeman, it would be a toss up between 3 things,
1. do i want to see wakey play in the top flight? yes
2. do i mind being a tenant in a ground owned by another club? id prefer not to be
3. is SL the be all and end all? it shouldn't be, but i think it probably is, and that is no disrespect to any clubs below SL level.
The difference for cas would be in question 2. and for me this makes the make up of the question very different to if it was asked of wakefield. IMO cas would be joint tenants at NM, a sports facility for the district on neutral territory.
I side stepped your question slightly, so in answer, i would 100%...............not be sure.

The merger thing would be a real concern for me too, as for wakey dismissing it, that was at gh i think.
I would prefer for both clubs to have separate grounds and 100% maintain their own identities, however the clock is ticking and we are still not in either new ground and the rfl have laid down a new factor in this lot of franchises, we arent guaranteed three years if our grounds aren't moving forward.
If both clubs are moving forward, no problem, if not sufficiently for the rfl both clubs could have real problems.
how about:
e) when rangi chase becomes english?

I agree with you kinleycat. It is up to both clubs to get their respective fingers out because when the licence applications come round next time, there could be a couple of championship clubs with strong cases and the RFL will be looking at both of us if our plans have not come to fruition again.

A tongue in cheek comment on a thread that has little merit other than to provoke exactly that type of response.
It has no bearing on your original dishonest use of part of a quote from an unrelated thread.

TBH mate, i think if we don't "pull our fingers out" it wont take three years to be staring down the barrels, the rfl have made that quite clear this time around.
