| I have just read the questions and answers on the club website regarding access to the Wheldon Road End for matches. So for the privilege of standing there for a game, I now have to pay at least £50 for a bronze membership.
I don't live in Cas and can now only get to about half of the games each year but I have followed Cas for about 15 years, and for most years have had a season ticket. The membership scheme is no good to me as I can't use discounts where I live, and times are hard for everyone, not just the club and I can't afford to shell out £50 on top of the ticket prices.
I therefore can only assume that I am now not classed as a "loyal fan" and am not deemed worthy enough to stand on the kop where I have always stood. I probably won't bother coming at all now. This is not the way to win fans!

| I have noticed that on the new Q&A piece on the website it mentions that bronze gets you into 3 games (not 2 as previously stated).

As I read it, the 3 tickets is for concessions (students, OAPs), but still 2 tickets for full adult members. Not very clear in their statement.
"The Bronze package is fantastic value and a great idea for a present this Christmas. It includes two match day tickets to any 2013 home fixture"
Then further down:
"Concessions purchasing the Bronze package will receive all the above benefits plus three home match day tickets."

Do you buy merchandise? There's 10% off with a membership. Plus if you are coming from further afield, are you likely to pop to Xscape for something to eat? There's discounts there too.
I miss a fair few home matches a year, due to family do's and holidays, etc, so I bought myself a bronze membership. It's fairly unlikely that I'll use the discounts (apart from the merchandise discount) but I still got a membership anyway because I want to show my support for the club.

Yes - got it now. 3 games for concessions - 2 for adults.

No: you're paying the privilege of £10 to stand there - not £50.00.
The bronze membership includes 2 free tickets with a value of £40.00. So you're only paying £10.00 extra for all the benefits that come with it. Is £10.00 extra such a premium to you really? Will you not make the £10.00 back through visiting Xscape, getting discounts off Cas merchandise etc etc?

| Is anyone else slightly disapointed with the take up on our membership scheme? I always thought it would be difficult to get to the 5,000 target but we seem to be crawling up now towards 2,000 I don't know how many season tickets were sold last year but surely we should be able to manage to shift 3,500.

| I think we sold 2,800 last year - so quite a bit to do yet. The good news train doesn't keep stopping at the CTRLFC station as much as it does at other clubs so I think we rely more on people just renewing.
A new signing or something/anything positive would help a great deal right now.

I'm not. An adult Silver membership costs over 14% more than last season, when the players put in abut 14% effort on the field!!!! I think we will see a boost between now and the end of the month and then another boost before Christmas. I wish the club would keep the cost of the tickets at their current levels to encourage those sitting on the fence to purchase. Also, as someone else has said, another signing or two, even on loan wouldn't go amiss.

Is there something in the water at Huddersfield that makes our ex players want to return? If so, can Danny Brough drink some!!!

| I have just read a letter from a supporter in the Pontefract & Castleford Express this morning who supported cas since the 2nd World War. He is 78 years old and has just purchased a bronze membership even though he can only watch Cas on the television, some may think this is nothing special but the man lives in Sussex so he cannot make use of the deals on offer. I wish many of our so called loyal supporters would take a leaf out of his book, then we may get to be able to sign some more players that we badly need to compete for a full season.
