I agree, they should try policing the offside rule at the play the ball and give teams a chance to play open rugby. Also what has happened to the flop, this is never penalised now.

Good rule IMO and worth sticking with. Cas exploited it a few times but Fev didn't look like they didn't want to try it.

Let me get this straight in my own mind. So team A knock on and team B pick up the ball. Team B kicj the ball down field in a "kick & chase" move. Ball goes dead / in touch, etc so the referee goes back to team A's original knock on?

Basicaly Yes mate however the player picking up the ball doesnt have to kick the ball ,he can run it but if he loses possession at any point either by kicking or just losing it then the Ref takes the play back to the original team A's knock on, It sounds good but when you see it in practice especially if the player has run or hoofed the ball downtown and it goes dead in goal it seems to be a bit of a waste of gametime to make the players go all the way back imho.

One of the daftest rule changes in my opinion, not a fan.

Pathetic..what if player a knocks on..player b picks ball up, sees open field..boots it for a kick and chas, goes to pick ball up but himself knocks on..surely he has taken his advantage by trying to get a try.

this rule seems daft. It should just be a 10 metre advantage rule. Let the team who picks up the knocked on ball have 10 metres to throw stupid passes but once you go past 10 metres, advantage over.

I wouldn't even give them ten metres, but would say that once the ball is past the infringement then the advantage is over. As it stands it is farcical.
