Quote rovers="rovers"The problems in the final have been greatly exaggerated in my opinion, when i 1st started watching and playing rugby the crack was what kept me, singing all the songs after games like alloweta, stripping off, and the music man, this was the reason i kept going to Wembley for the final, it slowly stopped however. Going to warrington in the grand final however was a blast to the past, hundreds of Rovers fans going for a real rugby day out and a good drink, the halifax fans were very family orientated and obviously felt a bit intimidated in the pubs, but i never saw any animosity directed at them just hundreds having a right old day. Obviously the tragic events afterwards have had disasterous consequenses but it should not be held against the club or fans'"
Yeah, Fev fans allegedly putting a Halifax fan in a coma because they lost a game of rugby have been 'greatly exaggerated'.
Obviously the acts of the few should not impact on the many (we've had our fair share of that recently), but you can't fail to see how a serious assault which could result in a murder charge would reflect badly on the Fev club and its fans.
