Finally a chance to play two games without a weekend off , on the back of probably our best performance of the season for the most part on what most thought would be a closer encounter we roll onto what is our biggest game of the season context wise.

York are having a great season and have only lost to Featherstone and Leigh and must be respected especially with home advantage, ford and Grix two promising young coaches clash for the first time and it should be a cracker. We know Harris from his time at fax will be a danger , I think ford as got a well balanced side with a blend of superleague experience and top championship players similar to fax.

I think the game will be close and will probably be decided on who completes their sets better and keeps the ‘ brain explosions’ to a minimum. We have threats all over the park and it’ll be interesting to see how York handle that as York have a pretty good defensive record . A win puts us within 2pts of York and a loss 6pts behind . Anyway looking forward to this one and hoping for a fax win .

I am looking forward to my first trip to York's new ground and would expect a tough game from start to finish. York look strong in defence and are consistently winning games which is a good habit to have and they will be confident of winning. However i will go for a fax win 16-23 and then we have another week off yippee.

What makes it more ridiculous is according to the fixtures we then play the 2nd (dewsbury) the 5th (Leigh)

I’m going for a Panthers win but it will be close. Then we have a week off before the two games on the 2nd and 5th June. The positive for me is that it could be a good time to beat Leigh. They have 3 games in 7 days. So we could have a flying start to June!

Aye and then we play i think Whitehaven away the sunday after the leigh game and then guess what another week off when england play the exiles. As for the leigh game i think they could rest some players for there game with barrow on the thursday and then bring the big guns back for when we play them on the sunday either way i think we will be up against it when we play them.

This should be a cracking game and both teams will be going into it full of confidence. This season looks like a mirror image of last year but now we have got a settled team we look much more the part. York have built their winning run around a solid defence but the way SG has got us playing we allus look capable of scoring. As has been said, keep the penalties down and make the least mistakes and I think we should be o.k. Fax by 10. icon_thumb.gif

On Liam, have to watch out for his short kicking game.
When attacking close to the line he regularly likes to drop it on his foot and stab it in behind the defence, it’s definitely a training ground play and the rest of the team are there in numbers for the follow up chase.

Well that was a good day out! What an amazing display from everyone, one of Fax's best wins for a long while. Some of our attacking moves were great to watch York's defence just couldn't cope, and in Lachlan we must have our fastest player since Mark Preston. We'll done to all and bring on Dewsbury. The Maltings York, Guzzler 3.6% Mmm! icon_biggrin.gifRUNK:

What a great day out and a game to match , at 18-6 down and down to 11 I was fearing the worst and frustrated as I could see the threat we carried with ball in hand . I think one thing fax have is pace , pace and threat. all over the park , walmsey and tibbs have electric pace , woody with speed and guile , fast ruck speed complimented with the intelligence and trickery of Keyes n jouffret,to score three tries in 6 minutes when down to 11/12 men is credit to fax . We are fit too and all credit to Scott for that with his strength and conditioning paying dividends. With still worthington, gee and Knowles to come back it’ll be like new signings coming in . They’re seems to be togetherness about the squad and the victory was well deserved. Still think there is more to come from us if we can just sort our discipline out and tweak our defence but overall a brilliant display and great atmosphere too .

It felt like at halftime that i had aged another 10 years. What a wide range of emotions to go through in 1 half of rugby and to come in at halftime in front after having 2 players sin binned was one hell of a effort. We do look very threatening with the ball at the moment with multiple threats across the park. Our defence on our line in the first half did look vulnerable even when we had 13 players on the park but we did improve in that area in the second half. We can enjoy this win and look forward to playing dewsbury under the lights next tuesday when we need another 2 points in the race for third spot.

We are looking pretty darn good to watch. Still got a few errors in our game that cost us but at the moment with the rugby that we are playing we are getting great value for our money.
