Yet another game only decided in the last 15 minutes, in fact last minute. Just shows how we compete the full 80. To be fare other than the 2 tries Widnes scored, one being a interception our defence was first class again and with 3 tries to 2 it was only the boot of former Fax favourite Steve Tyrer who kept the scores so close. James Saltonstall was a outright winner of the MOM with 2 tries and the number of carries must compare to a forward. The Hitman went to another strong performance from Amir Bourouh. Liam Harris might not have been on the try scoring list today after his 3 tries last week but his rich vain of form continued with the touchline conversion and last minute drop goal to add to his all round display.
In Club 1873 2 further draws were made with the £25 vouchers going to Duncan Hall number 104 and Julian Hilton number 33. The winners of the £20 vouchers were Tony Drummond number 14 and Stuart Tattersley number 76. The next 2 draws are next Sunday when we play Whitehaven.
After the Whitehaven game we have a weeks break for the Wembley weekend, followed by Sheffield away. We are hoping to run a supporters coach to the game. Details will be announced shortly
