Greetings my Fax friends, hope you are all well?Well the time has arrived again,another Fax v Leigh game, should be a cracker, and on form Fax must be favourites.
These last few weeks have been very hard for Leigh fans, but we are hoping to have a change of luck and form on Sunday, I for casting a very good close game and a score of Fax 26 v Leigh 28.
Hopefully meeting up with Hudd Shay, Bentleyman, Pellon Boy, and Living the Dream,always good to see them,we will be in Fax early,can't come soon enough.See you all Sunday.I need some points in the Fax Fantasy League as well.

Should be a good match Ian, they usually are and both sides need the win and be viewing it as one of the bigger games so they should both be up for it.
I know Leigh are not firing on all cylinders at the moment but Fax haven't exactly been setting the world on fire either.
Too many errors and struggling to click in attack so anything could happen.
Have a safe journey over and bring a few over with you, a couple of thousand would do our bank account a world of good.

Either Leigh drop further out of site or fax's challenge on the top four starts to falter....

Should be a good game and always better with the North open and a bit of atmosphere.We tend to come up short against Leigh but could sneak it this time.Fax 19-18 Leigh.

Get the feeling we need a result. Having missed out against Toronto and Featherstone, to be in the top 4 we need to start beating teams that are likely to be there (let's be honest, Leigh will come good). Lose this one and it becomes tougher to catch-up, especially with London and Toulouse doing so well.

The 4 was never on this season.Think we're under real pressure from the likes of Dewsbury/Batley to even make the 6.

Don't worry. We can catch up as we go along according to RM!

Jordan Lilley joins Leigh on a 1-month loan and in contention to play against Fax.

As a neutral this is an interesting game. Leigh not as bad as their position in the table suggests but have lacked creativity especially at half back and Halifax tend to deal quite well with teams like that, it takes a decent team to score plenty of points against Fax especially at home.

Leigh have leaked 70 points in their last two games, both at home, but Halifax tend to struggle to rack up the points.

Looks like a close and low-scoring game to me. No idea who wins.

Phantom, we at Leigh have had no problem scoring points it's our defence that the problem,we seem to get a comfortable lead then go to sleep, hopefully Lilley can create a few more chances and our defence can tighten up.
Our backs from 1 -5 have been fairly good, and dour forwards look strong, it's the halves were we seem to lack something,we disposed of Batley with ease a few weeks ago, but it remains to be seen what happens on Sunday , I've for cast a Leigh win by 2 points but I'm not confident, should be a good game.

True but what I meant was this Leigh team doesn't scare people when you have the ball like the one of 2 or 3 years ago did. With so many ex NRL/SL guys in your line-up you're always going to be competitive and score points, but the quality just doesn't seem to be there at half back, maybe Lilley will help you improve.

The one thing Halifax are good at is defending, it normally takes a bit of quality to break them down, Ridyard and Holmes did it a few times when Fev played them in week 1 but teams that lack creativity aren't going to score lots of points against them. That said, Halifax struggle in that area themselves.

I think the score when Fax played Toronto was something like 4-10 until the last few minutes, and 20 points might be enough to win the game on Sunday, for either side.

I can see this being a dour low scoring affair. Full-time fitness winning. Fax 6 Leigh 14

Batley game apart.... Leigh have been outscored in the 2nd half in every other game.... incl barrow which would suggest fitness/conditioning levels are nowhere near as good as they ought to be for a full time side.
And if they think jordy lilley is Alan Langer they will be sadly disappointed.
This is this weeks "interesting game"!
