At what cost?
It must be remembered that the two clubs have pretty small customer bases. A club shop will be visited by either a) people who support the club or b) people who are buying something for someone who supports the club. This then begs the question of the value of having a shop in a prominent location. Will passing trade be interested in buying club merchandise? Yes, there may be the odd sale to someone who wants something with 'Halifax' on it but not enough to justify the rents that would come with a shop in a central location.
