| I was concerned when I realised that the Club had waited to the last minute to submit its accounts to Companies House for the year to 31.11.15, but they are now on line and in reality show a slight deteriation from last year but nothing much. It would be nice if the club would tell The fans a little more about the background, I am not sure there is a need for such a solid "no comment" attitude.
Being abbreviated accounts you don't get details of turnover, income etc or details of what the club spends its money on (salaries, fees etc) but a loss of about £39,000 on the year shows how tough it was to achieve the limited success on the field and how little real benefit we got from it. Although the prize money we received will come into next years accounts.
The accounts take the "short form" so details are limited but for me the key information is that because of the small loss, shareholders funds moved from a negative £365,619 to a negative £404,791.
This shows just how much the club is dependent upon the present BOD, and perhaps the past ones, in providing loans/guarantees to keep the club going. These may not be huge numbers when compared to soccer clubs, but will not be easy amounts for our BOD to find. Unless the club intends to pay these back at some point, goodness knows how, then they are really donations to keep the club alive. We should be thankful they are as committed as they are without them we wouldn't have a club to moan about!

| As you say the next years accounts will be more significant.I'd expect the shareholders funds of 405k to be massively reduced/wiped
with the 750k funding the club won.

This statement seems a long way from your earlier posts where you were demonising the board and the sponsors.
Most intelligent people realise the immense work every one concerned with our great club puts in both in time and money.
Incidentally I haven't got a "club to moan about" I have a club that I am very proud of.

Can't compare the two periods. Most clubs had better attendances then. Go back further to 1984 and the early parts of 1985 and surprisingly the early part of 1986, Thrum Hall wasn't packed out.
Things improved after Wembley 87 and 88' so much so that the year of relegation, 89 we averaged 6000. Wasn't our last game of that season a win over St Helens, Seamus leaving the pitch in just his jock strap.
If we had the likes of those you mention the crowds will come back. IF.
For goodness sake (not you T) let's stop looking at meaningless/incomplete data and post some positives.
Blimey threads like this make you long for Mr Jagger and 87 leg end.

| Didn't we discuss this a month ago ?
Modest losses, financed by some undisclosed benefactor or benefactors, in the form of shares and loans.
Pretty standard fare for a sports club.
The accounts are probably filed late so the credit rating's not affected. Fev did the same. Deadline 31 August, filed 31 August.
Only 30 days in November, by the way. Same every year.

YOU CAN LEARN FROM THE PAST BUT NOT RELIVE IT.YOU CAN HOPE FOR THE FUTURE BUT CAN NEVER BE SURE THERE WILL BE ONE.: |

Not all of the points are meaningless about this thread , I mean I`d forgot all about Seamus in his Jock strap , I`m sure the crowds would increase if the players did that at the end of every game .
